The album is damn near flawless, and let it rain its the perfect closing of the lotus saga.
Agreed and I think the ordering of The Drought and then Let it Rain is just right.
I look at The Drought as Twiztid's sign off and Let it Rain as ICP's.
And, they had motherfuckin Anybody Killa on the album who is a solidified part of Dark Lotus as far as I'm concerned.

MWAB is a phenomenal DL album. They're all exceptional, except, to me, "Black Rain".FFF was quite good, but I don't love it. Its, overall, a weird one. Flip the Rat was better, like most of the EP outtake albums are.
Black Rain is my favorite lotus project.

I love all the Lotus albums except for the last one..
Black Rain is underrated.. they were really on the same page with that one.. the mood of it is one of my favorites of any psy release.. that Esham era was one of my absolute favorites tho..
Imagine if Esham had stayed in Lotus instead of Marz/ABK.

I highly disagree on their cohesion. Shaggy was in a drunken blur and delivered some of the worst lines of his career during Black Rain. Violent J was fresh off the heels of panic attackery and only shone a few times on songs. ABK is my homie and I love him, but he didnt add too much to the whole premise, when all was said and done. Monoxide delivered lots of subpar verses. Blaze shone maybe thrice. Madrox held it down the most, but still seemed rushed and restricted. The entire album was rushed, by fact.
And, without any doubt, "Doornail Dorothy" was the worst DL song ever created.

I feel J & Madrox really shined while everyone else came correct on the project.. shaggs delivery was a lil sloppier on a few tracks but he was still his normal self.. & still had some standout material.. like on "she was" & "jump off"
And, without any doubt, "Doornail Dorothy" was the worst DL song ever created.
hell naw.. they were just goin for a goofy "and we danced/bitch im sexy" type record.. there's not one song I like more on their latest project than what they did on "black rain"

Add to all of this that every song sounds like a weak attempt at cloning tales from the lotus pod and were on the same page

I have not read the book. Just going off of the views of the book during the video that J adds 'freshness'. Tidbits that are not in the book. Its not the same. Plus hearing J tell a story is better than the Grover voice in my head my mom tried doing when I was young.
Yeah bitches, im that short gentleman mentioned in that youtube video.
And the very nice, level headed guy from that other youtube video.

What song is pass the axe copying?
Also, I feel like Shaggy's verse sound worse on Opaque Brotherhood compared to Black Rain.
Listen to Heinous.
They aren't all copies directly. There's just a lot of rehashed concepts and the sounds aren't distinct enough.

Kinda like how BangPowBoom tried to reduplicate Amazing Jeckel Brothers, The Great Milenko and Riddlebox.
And you are all fucking NUTS if you claim that "Black Rain" is the apex of Dark Lotus's talent. You're sick.
Don't think I dont love Black Rain. I do. But it is rushed, sloppy, and devoid of mucho originality.
Some of my favorite tracks ever are on there, agreed; The Walls... That's Me (despite my homie Shaggy's shitdrunk verse), Corrosion.
How can any of yalls claim that these rapping men were utilizing their top skills and effort for this album? You're nuts.
However, I would rather listen to blackout drunk Shaggy any day than overly-sativa-high Paul Methric. At his best past 2009.
