I don't see an official discussion thread on the front page, and anyway I have a question about it...

The track "Taking it Away" is that beat used elsewhere?  I feel like I've heard it before, but it's possible it's just because the same song is on Hell's Cellar.  Anyway, this one is great.  Very consistent theme and great delivery.  Chorus is a little weak but I suppose if it was going to be on an actual album they might have polished that up a little.

'Please don't hate me' demo version is pretty good.  I would have preferred this compared to the original, I kind of felt like B/B was a little overproduced at the time.  I really enjoy the more raw lyrics in this version, and the simpler chorus.

'Hoes' - man, shaggy on the chorus makes this song.  'I'm a hoe for hoe'ing hoes homie I hoe hard'  Couldn't tell what he was saying at first, but damnit, creative stuff.

'Fat Sweaty Betty' B side.  Man, I haven't listened to the track off the original FF1/FF2 in a while because there's some aspects I don't like about it.  This version seems to have removed whatever it was I don't like about the other version.  Got a good chuckle off some of they lyrics because I had forgotten some of them.

'Swings and Chops'  How many songs can they put out about chopping people up with an axe or what have you?  Apparently unlimited.  I was anticipating this to be more a less a rehash of something else, but they lyrics and concept are actually pretty fresh and belongs in the top-whatever number of axe murderer songs they have.  The chorus gives it a weirdly-authentic feel, I think J was able to really capture the mindset of a serial murderer in that short chorus.

Yeah, I'm not an AMB fan so I probably never heard that one.  Must have just been from hearing it on the Hell's Cellar then.  On a related note, J killed it, I wonder who came up with the concept?

i actually prefer the amb version. j rapping from the perspective of a greedy asshole. the amb track is way more relatable. plus j's vocals seem to be up a little to high. least favorite track on hells cellar.love the rest of the ep tho.

I imagine AMB were given the concept by J.. he probably just told 'em to flip it.. it definitely seems like a throwaway track.. Like J redid the "Superstar" song just to get the creativity flowing..

AMB's version is much better & fully fledged..

I found it interesting it mentioned that Fearless Fred Fury was originally to be called "Furious Fred Fury" really glad they dropped that name because it's kinda pointless implying the word Fury in two different ways.

Was shocked there was no Mighty Death Pop or Found outtakes. I understand most of those outtakes were thrown on two other outtake albums.

Didnt J say once there is another version of Get Clowned that Young Wicked did?? I swear he mentioned somthing when he talked about the Phantom EP. I'm sure we will never hear Young Wickeds version ever or see it show up on a Forgotton Freshness.

EDIT okay so it was Young Wicked cut on Phantom EP.

But theres still the original version I guess that hasnt been heard.

The put on a lot for Material for MDP.  I'm sure  there were outtakes, but I suspect some of those got rolled into other releases or are still going to be released on newer albums.  They seem like they've been super grinding the last few years.  Tons of material put out.
