Mildly amusing thought: I bet lots of Juggalos who just listened to this EP didn't have a clue about the fact that Chino dissed ICP  – or who Chino even is. And some of these Juggalo probably did some research afterwards as to why the fuck J dissed this Chino guy. And after finding out about Chino's diss to ICP, some of these Juggalos might have taken to Twitter to tell Chino what's what.

The amusing part about this to me is the image of Chino sitting at home and all of a sudden, seemingly out of nowhere, getting a bunch of hate messages from Juggalos... fucking 17 years later. And he'd probably not even remember the whole thing but once he'd recall, he'd go "what the fuck? Why? Why now??"

In my opinion the top three tracks are "Clown Show", "Alakazam", and "Spontaneous Combust".

"Big Bad Wolf" sounds like a WotH outtake to me.

J also sounds out of the pocket in a few places.

All in all though it's fucking fresh.

I'm doing very well these days...

lessee...

intro - is an intro.

ill lump it in with all the interstitial stuff later:  its cute, but after the first listen, its just there to make the ep more substantial.

lotta those bits were played during the hells pit show, again, probably to stretch it.  especially considering that they cut out a quarter of the album... but thats a different thread.

clown show - dooooope.  very icp.

remember the gathering seminar waaay back when, when j said sumn like, 'every extra dope idea weve had, we saved for the sixth'?  this seems like one of em.  it is violent j at his core, going back to long before icp.

all in all, its only a couple minor flaws that make me not want to cry foul for this song being cut in the first place.  little things, like sayin 'three-fifty-seven magnum fully loaded' the same way twice.  big gripe, right?  who cares, shits the shit.

cant end myself - good shit.

beat is a little wonky, maybe more than a little.  but the story is great.

takin it away - not bad.

dope, or at least dope-ish, beat.  song seems slightly more polished [read that, processed], so it strikes me as a late cut.  it also strikes me as a song that was not meant for hells pit, more like woth or the shining.

the amb thing, ill let yall figure out.  dunno amb like that.  but i say its a bit of a direct message just including it.

i can see it all - pretty good.

loved the beat, goin back to flyin guillotine.  of the three jumpsteady beats, this is the one that makes me most schizophrenic, cuz i dig the shit outta if [not bizbiz if, but guillotine if, which i personally believe shoulda been called 'second chances', better title, less confusion.  again though, different thread].

big bad wolf - love it more each time i hear it.

someone in the flh village was less than enthused because its 'silly'.  silly or not, this is another one of those save-it-for-the-sixth kinda tracks, im guessin.  shit, i had the idea to do this exact same song, i mean the exact concept and structure, in, i dunno, 2001 or so.

come to think of it now, seems like the reason we didnt record it in 2001 or so, is cuz we found out that some rapper had just done it...  who was that...?  hm.

anyhow, i think the beat fits it pretty well, and j wrote it out to its fullest potential [unless you dont dig how the choruses work, which i can understand].  i couldnt have written verses this dope, definitely not at the time.

if they had put this on hells pit and cut out bowling balls, it would have been a lateral move at worst [for my money, a slight improvement.  really].

alakazam - great, but familiar territory for icp/psy at this point.

almost anyone could turn that beat into a jam.

also, not as much magicalness [if you will] as is called for.  leans more toward the im-so-fresh-it-aint-real style tracks like im sweet, tracks that icp has done again and again.  this is not that big a gripe for me because [1] lets see anybody else record as much material without repetition, and [2] alakazam is the bomb.

spontaneous combust - not a hit single or anything, woulda been a filler track on a jokers card [a first six jokers card, that is].

but, i think its fuckin fresh as hell.  yeah yeah, j has recorded this song roughly once every eighteen months, i dont care.  this is one of the better whacks at it.  the vibe, and the structuring of it, are terrific.  although, the title gives a bit of a different impression of what the song is gonna be like ['doing very well' woulda fit much better].

the truth - aight, here we go...

yeah, its nothing more than a diss track, when ya get down to it.

no, he doesnt exactly go after targets that hit the heart [to us, anyway, more on that in a minute].

no, dark lotus isnt rappin on it [of course].

but this song reeeally shoulda been on hells pit.  except for repeating himself some, the writing is on it.  j delivers it with all hes got.  everything he says is essentially the truth.  the beat is classicly unfuckwithable, as we already knew.  couldnt tell ya what it woulda replaced without messing with the sound of the album, but thats a side note.

i feel like it was cut because when he says 'this song is for us', he means himself and shaggy.  period.  thus, putting it out to the world to begin with was kinda against the purpose.  thats also why he hates on who he hates on in the verses;  thats who they were pissed at on the day[s] he wrote it.

another side note:  i can just imagine how wide the lotus crews eyes got when they heard that the truth was cut from hells pit, and the beat was available again.  [and just to say it, theres some messages beyond the music here, much like takin it away... puttin it out at all says sumn.]

skip-to-the-fuckin-point:

in my opinion, this shit is due to go down in history as a classic sideshow ep, like terror wheel and the others, despite the gigantic time span between the releases.

@scottied - copy/paste this into your reviews section, i dare ya.

[edit]  typo fix.  gimme a break, its a big post.

I know lol, that is exactly why I always wait at least 1 month before I buy sometime off eBay that was from a gathering or tour. I wanna make sure it don't show up on their website a couple weeks after.

I don't think they said it was exclusive for the gathering, just released at the gathering. That dude is probably feeling like a huge turd right now lol

It's a pretty decent record, but with the exception of the intro/skits and "i can see it all" it sounds less like tracks that would have been scrapped from Hell's Pit and more like just random recordings from that era.

Lol, 22....I acquired a handful of them and was having them signed by ICP, until J flaked out. Then the announcement it will be officially available kind of put a damper on things.  I hold private, Silent auctions on here for stuff like that. So in my moment of despair, I picked up on multiple copies of the seminar CD and held that auction yesterday, in place of the hells cellar one....and...made...a...fucking....killing.

A new benchmark was set for me.

One Ninja paid $180 for a copy, and remember, I had multiples.

Its Raining Diamonds ova here.

Lol, when people are waiting in line at hollowicked to cop that exclusive shirt, and you see a ninja walk buy with an entire box of them....then you go in and find out one ninja bought all them shits in one swoop, just to flip for a profit, I'm that guy. Lol.

I thoroughly enjoyed it sans one song. A FLH villager was so enthused about the skits being humorous that I eventually concur after riding around jamming it. I didn't take that away from our first distracted listening session(btw I'm down for that to be a tradition if there's a clown release),

As for the beats appearing on releases by AMB, Jumpsteady, and Lotus after the fact. Those songs are now ICP songs and the aforementioned artists takes on those songs will be skipped(if I for whatever reason revisit said albums)

Yea, so I couldn't really get them autographed by ICP as advertised, but I took life's lemons, once again, and made lemonade. In my little memorabilia side hustle, Violent J's signature on things fetches way more than Shaggs, by the way. Maybe because he's the brains of the operation, or the front man. I dunno.

My regulars are bidding Friday on all the other bands memorabilia that I was able to obtain, some autographed. The Ouija macc stuff and my old Killjoy club things have been highly requested, so I'm parting with two out of the four raindeer games posters I have, completely signed by the ORIGINAL line up, Each have C.O.A's.

(Certificates of authenticity)

I allowed an associate of mine to offer $150 bucks for the ICP seminar note, but the Ninja would not come off it, his wife or girlfriend was ready to part with it quick, but he couldn't be persuaded.

Another business associate of mine is trying to broker a deal with the guy who won one of the Auction EP's, They have all his info and visa versa, and its looking real promising. I, and a group of investors have a nice plan for it.

So hate it or love it, Imma MAKE you love me baby, lol.

What, extra smedium can be stretched out Uncle Drunk, lol!

A little tip, if you want people at concerts or events, such as I described, to put exclusive shit to the side or let you or a friend of yours get early access to said exclusive shit, get to know the event STAFF and not the artist themselves. These are the people that make the world go around. Conversation, and a little bit of money goes a long way.

Always remember.....

No, that's what Psychopathic, Strange and MNE do, homie. You would be surprised, Who, on this board is in my group of trusted regulars bidding on this stuff. So I would watch it with the degradations.

Oh. Congrats by the way, Ouija's first leak from gutter water is named "Bonesaw". You made it!

I do music memorabilia, a 3.1+ Billion dollar industry (2016) among other related items as a side hustle. I know a lot of Juggalos live in isolated, Rural areas, and have to travel around the bible belt to see bands play. I don't. Its literally with in walking distance of where I live, New Orleans, I have family and friends that all work in the entertainment industry. So when, let's say, Robert Plant from Led Zeppelin played Jazzfest a year or two ago, I have backstage passes. I meet these people and get stuff signed, some for my personal collection, some to sell.

Ninjas would kill to have the kind of experience's I call a typical weekend.

I really could write a book about so many wild interactions with various Rock/Hip Hop artist. Some are cool, others are complete Pricks. In fact, I mite write up the time I had with Black Sabbath in Texas, It was one for the book's, And put it in the general section, Or the one with Death Row/2Pac and my uncle (R.I.P.) Who worked security at the Superdome in the mid 90's, equally as epic.

I love music, and am Humbled to get the chance to do what I do, other than standing in a crowd looking up at a stage. If I see a chance to make a buck, I go for it.

Pfffff...

Welcome to America, Kid.

Haha, I've been doing this for a long time. I know the difference. No one that ever works Merch for ANY music artist ever resisted the coveted money palm handshake. Period. IF...IF they are even being paid, and not volunteering, like a sucker, their pay is not enough to have a Franklin' or two compromise their morals and give you early access. Two hundred bucks ain't shit for the money made, hell, One of them shirts sold for almost $200 and one year we obtained over 50 of them things in the preferred and desired sizes. Go on and add them shits up.

Things like buying up all the Hollowicked exclusive T-shirts are planned in advanced, and I, or one of my associates usually gets a call from THEM, the mole we have. 90% of the time, this is done through solid, trusted connections made over the years of buying and trading in Music, Movie and sports memorabilia. I offer my connects for events here, they offer theirs there, and as a group with pooled resources, we do what we want.

Once again.

Pffffff....

Welcome to America, lady.
