When the Simken Heights movie gets made, it would be great if ICP would be willing to do a cameo appearance in it since Lansing's Simken Heights opened up for ICP during the 1995 Hollowicked show! Also, House Of Krazees!

The Simken Heights story should be real interesting for the ICP loyal fanbase.

First gotta gather up the stories and then see which kat will write the screenplay.

The movie will be real good for the Wicked Acid Rap scene especially since the Michigan rap scene could greatly benefit from it!

Simken Heights are one of the founders of "Horror Rap"

So many rumors about why the original 90's Simken Heights parted wayz which led to Cap One creating his own version of da Simken from the year 2000 and beyond.

Finally, Simken Heights fans can get some closure to know the whole story and hopefully the original 90's member Mass will release some new material.

When Mass returns to making raps, Simken Heights still has great potential to bring about new themes with not always focusing on "Horror" but to focus on dystopia themes with a warning to humanity!!!

"We all have our time machines. Those that take us back are our memories and those that carry us forward are our dreams."

Good luck

Thanks for the positive words. I will do the best I can to make it happen. I have many ideas to pass along to others who would be interested in the film project since I am from Michigan.

Not sure if you know of rappers with very deep rap voices but the deep voice of "Mass" should have already been used for many Hollywood film projects.

When I found out that MASS moved out to California in late 90's, I was shocked how he was not discovered and signed there.

Brain "Mass" Hammock had a reason for taking off time from making rap music and I hope the movie will go into great detail for his reasons for leaving the Die Hard Simken Heights fan base back in the 90's without any explanation as to why he just (flat out) quit.

I know Cap One's side of the story from the only online interview that Cap One did but I am in the process of interviewing Mass to get his side of the story.

When a rap group represents your city and is from your city, the loyal fans should do more to preserve the rap groups legacy but I noticed most Simken Heights fans from my city of Lansing just have no interest to create websites and youtube channels talking about Simken Heights mind you that back in those days there was no youtube and making websites was just getting noticed in the Wicked Rap Mid West Scene but man it was a real trip just seeing all of the fan websites of all the Mid West Wicked Rap groups during the 90's.

It was 100% clear that ICP Juggalos dominated creating fan rap webpages in the late 90's.

Having said that, it just seems many Simken Heights fans just moved on after MASS left the group in the late 90's so I hope this movie will give Lansing that spark it so greatly needs with the Rap Talent coming out of Lansing!

I noticed that Brian "MASS" Hammock was the genius behind the creativity of tha SIMKEN sound along with his brother J Rome.

Even though Cap One has a nice delivery on the 90's original SIMKEN tracks, I am curious if MASS directed Cap One how to approach each track because Cap's project titled Red Rum & Coke was when the Simken sound was not up to par with MASS last Simken Heights album titled "Religion of the Beast" when MASS hadn't yet left Simken Heights.

If you are all just discovering SIMKEN HEIGHTS for the first time, MASS is the second rapper on this track. The deep "MASS" voice just captivates the listener! MASS is a masterful story teller!!!

Was the plan not for a documentary? Documentaries dont really have screenplays, since theyre mostly interviews, archive footage, etc.

The only thing really to write is like, background information and shit? What the voiceovers would be saying.

Yes, the original plan was to gather up stories to make a documentary but why not also see if any Simken Heights fan from Lansing or Michigan who actually rolled with the Simken Crew would be interested in making a youtube movie or indie film about the group. This is why I posted another post asking for any information regarding the murder trial of J Romes killer.

I can only do so much from the country of Colombia even though I was raised in Lansing. I am slowly but surely getting more info to see what would be best.

Call it fanfiction but I have so many ideas how the Simken brand can be revamped!

Since Cap One does not seem interested in preserving the Simken Heights legacy, I can only hope that MASS will want to return to the mic and do the type of promotion for his rap group's music that BadMind originally manifested but Cap One seems to want to stay out of any kind of social media. For example, Cap One was supposed to do a Detroit Underground radio interview and he was a no show.

I assume Cap One is not accustomed to typing emails so I can not judge the kat for everything a person chooses to do always has a reason.

I will continue to update this post with the info I am gathering.

Archive research is one of my passions so its always nice to find more info and stories about the original Simken Heights through various sources that I continue to be in contact with but ever since MASS left the group in the late 90's the Simken fanbase is not what it once was but the nostalgia is still there anytime a once before Simken fan comes across their music on youtube and posts a comment.

Only online interview that Cap One ever did back in 2007.

This is his side of the story how Simken Heights formed.

Interviewer: Tell me a little bit about the history of Simken Heights. How did it all get started?

Cap-1 says

Southside of Lansing, Michigan. Off of Jolly Rd across from the parole office, down the street from Quality dairy. The bloc, the money making section. Simken Heights gang related hustlers much deeper than this rap shit. Cap1, 1 of the biggest drug dealers in Michigan, leader of the notorious and murderous Gangster Disciples in Lansing Michigan, connected with rapper Mass and fellow street hustler J-Rome. Formed the group Simken Heights.

One of my sources says the MASS solo project under the alias "BrainWater" was posted on the horrorcore.com forum. Does anyone know who was the owner of that website so I can contact the owner. Any info would be greatly appreciated

In the summer of 1998 while I was working at Universal Studios Florida, I would always read up on message boards and forums on various Juggalo and wicked rap websites.

One night, I saw a post by what appeared to be one of MASS promoters or managers saying MASS solo project coming soon!!! so I quickly wrote to him and he only wrote me once saying that MASS was using the alias "BrainWater" and that MASS was on a new kind of level with the material he was writing. Ever since then, I have been on a mission searching for answers as to who is his promoter or manager was and why the project was either canceled or never released. The main question is who funded the solo project and do the reels still exist? Plus what does "BrainWater" mean???

What do you think is the meaning behind the name "BrainWater"???

I never cared for the 2001 Cap One release Parafanalia because MASS was clearly not part of that project but at least the archive history of KMC Records is interesting to see but still surprising to see that KMC CEO chose this web address.

http://www.kmcrecords.cjb.net/

Anyone know who [email protected]  could be???

Perhaps its email address of someone who rolled in his camp but $30 to join a fansite back in 2001 would have been very iffy back then compared to paying through paypal.

Please read what the site offered and make comments.

Letter I wrote to one possible source

Hello Gina, I saw your Simken Heights comment when you recognized Brian "MASS" Hammock. May I ask how you know Brian. Did you go to the local Simken Heights rap concerts back in Lansing? I ask because I am searching for any photos/vhs video of Brian rapping on stage for archive purposes. Brian unfortunately has no facebook and I am curious if anyone has his email. or if I can pass along my email to interview him.

The focus and goal is to see if a documentary or possible indie film can be made about Brian's life since he is a Lansing Hip Hop rap pioneer.

I am manifesting to revamp the SIMKEN SOUND since many attempts failed after Brian "MASS Hammock left the rap group in 1999. The original Simken Heights DJ Bryon recently had a stroke and almost died but he is slowly recovering and also wants MASS to pick up the mic again.

I see their DJ Byron has so much passion and love for his 90's rap group SIMKEN HEIGHTS that he, Brian and J Rome started but their record label KMC Records clearly did not do enough promoting to get the group known in the bay area where you reside.

SIMKEN HEIGHTS were greatly cheated out of the FAME they could have had in the west but they do have loyal fans in Michigan.

Regarding CAP ONE, he just does his own thing while many artists who have worked with him have their fair share of not so pleasant words about him which shows its not wise to work with CAP ONE but others still greatly think highly of him so each to their own so I do not judge.

In short, most Kats say that CAP ONE burned his bridges so when SIMKEN HEIGHTS reunites, I think it will just be their DJ Bryon, MASS and another OG Lansing Rapper that their DJ Bryon has been communicating with.

Right now I am very curious what kind of beats Mass's Simken Heights will release.

Also, the loyal Simken fans need to start making mix tapes so I am manifesting to get the raw wav vocals from the Simken Heights 90's projects so kats can sample MASS vocals on their mix tapes!

I am from Lansing but I lived in Russia for some years and I must say those Russian katz have pretty tite beats.

This Russian female spits truth with an ancient vibe so perhaps MASS's Simken Crew will add a female to their roster:)

2020 is a the GREAT YEAR OF TRANSFORMATION so lets see what DJ Byron & MASS will give us!
