I support these simken heights posts.

Hopefully dude gets his documentary made.

Greatly appreciate the support Pigg,

Being from Lansing's own Simken Heights city, I started listening to 90's Simken Heights during my high school and college years being Class of 96.

Back then we were all hoping that MIKE E CLARK was going to sign SIMKEN HEIGHTS but they were already signed onto KMC Records so I guess MIKE E CLARK did not think it was worth it to buy SIMKEN out of their contract.

Detroits own HOUSE of Krazeez were right up there with da SIMKEN and they were all doing rap shows together.

If only I had developed my rap ability back then compared to later after visiting France and discovering French Rap.

Then while at one of the mom and pop record shops in Flint Town's own Dayton Family, I discovered Triple 6 Mafia so slowly but effectively, I became a better rapper with that powerful Three 6 Mafia flow!

Then after moving to Florida I started my rap group called Enlighten.

We won best Spiritual Rap song in the Broward County Miami area in 2005 and then I left the group to volunteer in Russia.

I'm the tall kat so in short rapping is just a hobby of mine and I always root for the underdog.

The social media outlets available especially social networking apps just did not exist during the time of the 90's original Simken Heights so I feel NOW is the time for dem OG Katz to make a come back even if its without Cap One.

This track I wrote is called Culturally Bound with a Russian beat from 2005.

I video edited this music video back then cuz I studied tv production in Florida.

Great News!!! Finally I got 2 leads!!! J Rome's girlfriend's son replied to my facebook message and one of J Rome's and Mass's high school friends just replied to my message.

It will be great if any LANSING OG will be releasing some new soundz with the Simken Heights DJ "Byron" once Byron recovers from his recent stroke.

Each person is a book with chapters in their lives so once a person leaves this earth, they take with them all the chapters and stories in their life so this why its SO IMPORTANT to preserve the memories from your relatives and treasured friends!!!

How the Simken Heights indie film/documentary came about from the Cap One online interview:

Cap One says:

Simken Heights used too go to all the large heavy metal events and Pink Floyd concerts. Then 1 day we was gettin high smokin out the jaon vorhese bong and the question came up how in the fuck do all these metal groups get packed coliseums wit no radio play. So we decide to darken our sound and label our music heavy death, created Smokebox and the rest was history.

All screenwriters can think up of many ideas and story lines and plots just from what Cap One said above.

I never realized a Shaman could be a troll. If you don't like the information here then why you bother to make negative comments.

If you grew up in Lansing and listened to Simken Heights during your high school years, I am sure you wouldn't be such a wet blanket.

If you continue to troll it only reflects you. Find some peace within yourself BayAreaShaman or go rub one off to make yourself feel wanted.

This is just an example of fan fiction to think what other realities or dimensions the rapper "MASS" could be in. Just the name (((SIMKEN))) is very powerful in the ESOTERIC realm so why not think of other wayz the SIMKEN HEIGHTS franchise could be if Hollywood Sci-Fi gave it a chance. Maybe comic books, who knows)

SIMKEN HEIGHTS FANS I am sure are curious what the "Smoke Wizard" and "BrainWater" album will sound like.

So I will update this thread as much as I can for archive purposes despite the haterz who don't know how to write a paragraph.

Quote from the movie "Field of Dreams" "If you build it, they will come" Perhaps more Simken Fans will comment. All w/ time...

Dude I'm a huge Simken Heights fan... bacc in the day I took a Pictures from a High Times Magazine (october halloween edition) and edited an album together with all of my favorite simken heights songs.. basically it was  A Skull with a bunch of dank nugs around it ... anyway i took the simken heights official logo and schooled it... gave it out to all my friends...

Those dudes are the Truth. for real. I didn't know Mass was still alive, i knew a 2 (or even 3) dudes from the group died, so i thought only Cap One was the only one left alive... and I admit i haven't listened to much of his solo stuff, only a little bit... but yeah they alwayz got the Pure pure PURE WICKED SHIT.

but anyway... yeah I first heard about 'em from Violent J on the Juggalo Show back in the day on fuckoff radio

if any1 doesn't know about Simken Heights you're fuckin' slippin homie...

However i seriously doubt Wishing for a Violent J feature on a simken heights documentary on the faygoluvers forum will get you that, Hey homie I hope i'm wrong though, that'd be the Shit! so yeah R.I.P. to J-Rome. and shot out to Mass and Cap 1

I 100% agree with you that Cap One's solo Holy Water was his best!!! and then the mic recording quality was not so good on for RED RUM & COKE. and then CAP One's NEW BEGINNINGS under the Simken name was in my book a complete disaster with having katz on those tracks that still hadn't developed a craft for rapping with little to no talent but we did get a couple of old school OG Simken Tracks on dat NEW Beginnings album called Slay tha hook))) and IGNITE IT)))) with MASS!!!!

Much thanks Spange for the archive info you provided. Which 2 or 3 dudes died??? We all know J Rome was shot and killed. It was really a senseless murder but from my research everyone except one from the 90's original Simken Heights are still alive.

If you really feel 2 to 3 are dead, just curious which names are you referring too and which albums were they on? Maybe they were part of Cap One's camp. For example there is the rapper "KM" who is on Cap One's New Beginnings very poorly made album. Did you get this info on forums, message boards or through word of mouth? Please go into more detail.

Are you referring to Cap One's revamped version of Simken Heights with his 2 sons and some other rapper on the Red Rum and Coke album who I never could identify. He might be a Chi Town kat but I am not certain. The songs are called Homicidal Shadows and "Take me out so I don't feel the pain". I actually like the katz rapping voice but he is given no credit whatsoever so let me know if you know the name of the kat plus I don't understand why his mic vocals were so poorly recorded but he soundz tite! He reminds me a bit of the kat from Flint Town's Project Born))))79124978_2421738681372092_5927704941845020672_n.jpgImage Enlarger

Thanks Chuckieboy for the props. It has not been easy manifesting to get updated and info on the 90's Simken Heights Crew when their homeboi's just don't feel like opening up old wounds after the tragic killing of the main kat who funded Simken Heights which was Simken rapper J Rome.

I just want to preserve J Romes legacy when one of his homeboi's will answer some questions I have.

Its just a great pity how the Simken fanbase has greatly diminished.

J Rome through his Street Hustle funded the SMOKE BOX project so I am very curious why no music video was made for the rap group.

Halloween has been also helping me with archive info on here. I never knew that Cap One was part of a rap group in 1988.

You would think Wayne Roper aka Cap One would have mentioned to the Simken fans that he was in a rap group prior to joining Simken Heights in the early 90's.

Here is the track he recorded in 1988.

and surprisingly a promo photo exists of Cap One's group album in 1990 where Cap is wearing a shirt that says CAPONE and his hat says Michigan))) Very curious to know the names of his crew back then!

I just discovered a tite track for the Simken Heights documentary soundtrack.

This kat Raw Society hails from St Louis Missouri.  I noticed in the mid 90's this kat would create from time to time real bangers!!!

This rap artist Raw Society would lace tracks with Lansing's Simken Heights Cap One in the mid to late 90's but I never knew this solo joint existed from Raw Society that I just discovered.
