Yeah but the problem with that is that there’s no way to know if that’s just Violent J “it’s still real to me, dammit!” hype, if it was something huge in the works that won’t actually happen or if it’s a legit thing that really will change PSY forever.
Well, I think they proved that they can pull off some miraculous stuff in 2017 despite odds being heavily stacked against them. Seeing them do a show in DC and throwing 2 liters of faygo into the Washington monument reflecting pool in front of a few thousand people is one example that “it’s still real to me, dammit.” If you build it, they will come.
Wouldn’t surprise me if they want to go back to doing their own PR to sell merch.
My other thought is that they think that announcing the next Joker Card is going to carry them for a while. Hard to say.

Uh oh, can someone please come get the dad from American Beauty. You do not have to be a “Super liberal PC sensitive crybaby” to be a respectful and decent human being though “Juggalo” J.
I think the big announcement will be no more physical music for the most part. Like everyone else, expect the psychopath streams and subscription service or J/shaggy has some kind of terminal illnesses.

It is literally a word meant to make homosexuality linked to “things that are not okay”.
Being anti trump is great but sounding like his supporters is mad whack.
Do you, But know that your use of homophobic slurs is shitty.

relax. i rather doubt he was tryin to slur. shitty writing or not, the context was fairly clear.
the thing about overextending principle, is that at some point, youll run into this-is-the-world-we-live-in.
‘should be’ aint got much to do with what happens.
if it did, id say that this is the part where you should say, ‘im just sayin’, and then j should say ‘yeah, i know youre just sayin’.
awfully paranoid, arent you?

I’m really not trying to turn this into some huge argument. Just simply want to point out the fact that words are words. When YOU give them power by being offensive is when it becomes a problem, ESPECIALLY when I don’t mean it in a hateful way. My sister dates transgender men, I’m perfectly respectful and accepting of them, my boy Luke is gay as can be and is one of my favorite people to party with (even tho I ain’t seen him in a bit, I miss that mofo now that I think about it…) and I actually joke with him and call him a “flaming fag” and he laughs histarically, he thinks it’s funny because discrimination/hate is just that, so ridiculous it’s funny.
Now if I heard some asshole yell at my boy “yo look at that fag!” and it was in an offensive manner, I’d punch a nigga on the spot. Hate is hate, words are words. It’s all about context. Words like faggot and retarded are in my vocabulary for life, I will not change a damn thing because some crybaby pussy wants to be sensitive.
Educate yourselves, when you openly speak a word that is “offensive”, over time it looses its potency. Do y’all have ANY idea how many words/phrases that are in regular American speach that have their roots in hateful/racist meanings but yet have lost their meaning completely?? Google it. THAT is how it should be, let the world realize words are just words and they fade with time.
And yes, I’m glad someone pointed out the irony of ICPs super homophobic gay bashing lyrics, but at the end of the day, we know they don’t hate gay people so…why so serious??

September 18, 2012

At the end of the day I don’t know they don’t hate gay people. And that’s why you shouldn’t say it. The word has a meaning behind it established that is deeply rooted in extreme hatred towards homosexuals. Waving it around people are going to assume or feel a way about it. You can’t just say that meaning is relative to the individual and being offended is a choice. Symbols are emptier of meaning than words which are created with meaning to help us communicate. But you still aren’t going to justify somebody wearing a swaztika with that same logic. In both cases it’s true. There could be somebody that uses faggot different from it’s definition and doesn’t hate gays just as there could be somebody with a swaztika that isn’t racist. But both are already established with meanings that are deeply rooted in bigotry. So why use them if you are not a bigot? Why use them if you don’t want to be seen as a bigot?

If someone wants to get mad, let them, that’s what they get for being so sensitive. These words have been in my vocabulary for over 10 years, not going anywhere now. Would never put the effort forward to try and “correct” myself when I know nothing is wrong. My girl Emily I used to bartend with had ISIS tattooed on her neck for completely different reason before the middle eastern terrorist group emerged. She gets weird ass looks from people all the time now, should she get that covered up? FUCK NO and fuck outta here!!

Damn, they closed their warehouse?? I know they are doing the merch different, but I didn’t know they closing up shop!?!
Yup. They gave all their old merch to a third party company to sell-off, and most of the new merch will be made to order and produced in limited quantities.
Joe actually talked about it in the interview ICP did with Scottie D earlier this year. He said they had a new merch deal where they wouldn’t have to do any work and would just get sent a check every month. He spoke about how Psychopathic was tired of being stuck with stacks of shirts in sizes that don’t sell, how cd’s don’t move as well, etc.
At least he saw the writing on the wall.
Right now Psychopathic is slowly cutting people off until they have trimmed enough fat and become a lean machine(hopefully).
For me, J Webb was like the make-a-wish kid that always dreamed of working for ICP. I think Psychopathic kept him around during the gravy years as a rib to themselves. Plus he could pack boxes as good as the next guy. He really didn’t bring much to the table other than a boatload of enthusiasm.
Also, J Webb totally fucked up by complaining on stage during a seminar at the Gathering last year about how little Psychopathic paid him, and how broke he was. Not a good look.

Dude, right? Most words–all fuckin words in most languages–have been/can be/are being used in offensive ways or have their roots in being offensive. Almost like language is a living thing that evolves and changes patterns and meanings, ya know?
And yes, I’m glad someone pointed out the irony of ICPs super homophobic gay bashing lyrics, but at the end of the day, we know they don’t hate gay people so…why so serious??
I think ICP are trying reeeealllly hard not to hate on gay people. Which I love. Like, their instincts say “gay=bad” but over the past few years they’re fighting that instinct and trying to change their ways because they realize that they’re probably wrong. It shows more humility than any “fuck you for saying the wrong word!” type to me.
Man, I kind of agree with you and Noah. Context matters for sure but at the same time, it’s important to remember that the collective you, should avoid being a dick for no reason. Like, if I’m at PRIDE, I’m not using the word “faggot”. Even if I’m saying it in an obviously lighthearted, joking way, there’s a chance that someone there might not be okay with it so why not avoid using it just in case? Not saying people should censor themselves but again, I think we should avoid being an unnecessary dick and if some old ass word that I know still has power will make people uncomfortable, why not avoid it around em?

haha!! Whaaaat!??? Really? Damn how you gonna just bitch about financials like that to Juggalos during the Gathering??
But yeah I remember J saying that about the Merch in the interview. For some reason it didn’t click, I just didn’t think that ALSO meant closing that massive warehouse. That would start to suck getting stuck with all that flopped merch in smalls and mediums.
If they don’t own that huge building, there’s no need to really stay there to run that company.
Edit: Man, J Webb to me, was mad corny and embarrassing. Never met the guy, this my opinion from everything online. I’m sure he was a really hard worker and mad hype to be there. Just not the face of the GOTJ videos and everything else. I remember him trying to explain that 20th year Riddle Box CD, and it was fuckin nails on the chalk board listening to that dude, reading and trying to explain shit. Later bro…

I don’t recall Jason saying that at a seminar, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.
If anyone speaks on their “massive warehouse” and hasn’t ever been there, then it’s a little underwhelming when you actually do see it. Probably 6-8 rows of shelves stacked 6 rows high, and a small section of shelves with pull out buckets with things like belt buckles, charms, etc. In that entire office facility, the HatchetGear portion of the warehouse probably takes up 20% of it. The BIGGEST part of the warehouse is just storing stuff from past tours, their gigantic green screen setup, and a dock door for loading/unloading trucks.
With all the complaints about hatchetgear due to it being severely understaffed, making the move to a 3rd party was probably a good thing. I wish they would put more options up on the new site, but hopefully that will come with time.

I forget what radio show it was on the press tour, but she was sitting on the couch in the back with Lyte and Hoodoo……I think that was her..?? about 92% sure. Anyone see that??

So JWebb was let go because Psychopathic couldn’t afford to pay him. They had to downsize their staff, downsize their merch operation and they also had to pay advances for a couple of new acts recently as well as put on a march and a gathering in one year. I sent a PM to ScottieD and I would like to share my vinyl related idea on this board for potential income for Psychopathic. Especially since JWebb will no longer be doing vinyl updates for faygoluvers leaving it only to ScottieD and PunkRockJuggalo. I PM’d my idea to ScottieD and now I will share it with this board. Twiztid haters can look away as it is an elabortion on an old post of mine in the same vein.
https://faygoluvers.net/v5/foru…..-on-vinyl/
I think it’s time for ICP to relinquish some more of their Twiztid masters. Well not outright sell them completely (or in the case of Twiztid, use it as payment for appearing at a gathering), but accept payment to temporarily lease out their Twiztid masters to an outside company. Just long enough to press some vinyl. One that has quality reproductions with either analog and/or HIGH QUALITY digital masters with at least 24 bit rate. I have emailed http://www.musiconvinyl.com and asked them to look into getting from Psychopathic Records the master to the Twiztid Mostasteless OG version. I explained to them briefly how that is the one that Psychopathic has, and that given recent events, they could probably use the payment. They can make money off of Twiztid, Twiztid can suck it up, and vinyl fans like me can get what we want. Everybody would win. I also suggested that if Twiztid was a successful business venture for the company, they could also put out more Twiztid stuff. I suggested after Mostasteless OG, they put out CHAINSMOKER and PHATSO (original).
musiconvinyl.com is a European company that pays fees for access to high quality digital masters to put out high quality vinyl pressings.
Where are Music On Vinyl records manufactured?
Our records are pressed at one of the best vinyl factories in the world based in The Netherlands.
Our mastering engineer has 40 years of experience cutting records for many major artists like Michael Jackson, Alan Parsons Project, Santana, Mother Love Bone, Stone Temple Pilots, Faith No More and many more.
Are Music On Vinyl releases officially licensed?
Yes. We obtain official licenses from a wide range of copyright holders, whether it be major record companies or independent artists who own their own rights.
Which masters do you use?
We use the best audio available to cut our records. We receive and use different kinds of masters: analogue tapes, original metal parts, lacquers cut from analogue tapes and high res digital files 192/96khz/24 bit. Music On Vinyl does not use CD’s as masters.
I have some reissues by musiconvinyl.com and I have a high quality turntable and the sharpest record needle a person can by. I swear by these reissues. They are amazing. Very high quality reproduction. I was very pleased that they use AT MINIMUM 24/96 bit rate. None of this 16 bit nonsense which is basically the weak quality of a CD. Which is one of the things I warned about in my thread about vinyl reissues. Some are scams. Musiconvinyl is the REAL DEAL.
https://faygoluvers.net/v5/foru…..tal-vinyl/
If Psychopathic was willing to lease out their Twiztid masters to musiconvinyl to bring some extra money in, that would make this vinyl head very happy. But if they reached out via email, they would have to put in the email title they are actually from Psychopathic and they would be willing to lease out a master to make some cash and please the fans. The company probably responds to emails faster if they know it is not just a fan with a vinyl suggestion, but someone from an actual company with masters.

I didn’t say juggaloj is a horrible person who shouldn’t be allowed to post or that he’s trying to kill gay people. I said he used a word that is explicitly homophobic and that that word was the only part of his post I didn’t groove with.
I didn’t even start with telling him not to say it or calling him a bigot or homophobe. I just said that i don’t agree with it so that other people know that, when reading this board, they can know that we aren’t all on some homophobic shit.

I mean I’m not offended. I was simply clarifying I’m not homophobic or hateful towards anyone for their sexual orientation. I just grew up from a young age using words like fag and retard on a regular basis. I think I said in a previous post 10 years, but actually more like 15-20 now that I stop think and count. Everyone I hang with talks like that pretty much. Its a cultural thing, if people can’t understand it, that sucks. Like I tried to point out and educate you, there’s countless words and phrases used in America every day that have their roots in racisim and deragitory hate speach. But the beauty of it is, we’ve forgotten all about the negative uses of those words/phrases and stripped them of that power. How is that not a good thing? As you continue to hold on the the word as offensive you allow it to have that power over people and allow the actual hateful people to use it as a tool. You can try to counter argue against that. But I can promise I’m done here. Arguing on the interwebs is petty and it’s obvious you’re very sensitive and won’t admit I have a very strong point.
