Got my physical copy on the 14th, snagged the Red Pop version as I felt Smothered, Covered, and Chunked felt more like a second CD than just some bonus.
Absolutely love the way they did the packaging on the album. The nice heavy duty cardboard sleeve with nice artwork on it, love the foil. The badass lenticular cover for the album itself, the insert advertising new Twiztid ****, the bonus disc having its own jewel case and inserts, I dig it.
Now that I've actually been able to listen to the album on something other than my PC speakers, which I have to keep relatively quiet out of respect for the people I live with, been able to really get into it.
Favorite songs:
-Intro + The Mighty Death Pop (yeah, I'm listing them together, they just fit): Definitely the highlight of the album, which coming first may seem like a bad thing but it just starts things off perfectly, one of my fav tracks from ICP in a long while. I dig the beat, the energy, and I really like the lore behind this Jokers Card. Respect your life or The Death Pop is gonna take ya out in an instant.
-Chris Benoit: Really dig it, have since the music video premiered, just solid wicked **** about that moment when everything gets to be too much and you just lose it.
-The Blasta: Another vigilante type song, this time focusing on getting back at the bullies we all face in life, from the playground to the office.
-Bazooka Joey: Shaggy's really stepping it up on this album and this is him at some of the best I've ever heard him. Nice rampage kinda song.
-Juggalo Juice: It is so damn nice to have the clowns finally do a track dedicated to Faygo. Can see this one being fun at concerts.
-Hate Her to Death: A dark and brooding track about unrequited love, really hits hard and hits home, if you've ever been in love with someone that doesn't love you in return expect this one to pull on some heart strings.
-Ghetto Rainbows: This one seems really polarizing and I guarantee that is because the song is about rainbows and has a bit more of an uplifting feel to it. No matter where you are, how bad things are, there will always be a rainbow to guide you to a better life at the end of it. I love this song, probably my third favorite on the album (second being Hate Her to Death), it's just some feel good ****, and in this day and age we need that.
-Where's God?: Asks the question I think most people have wanted to. What the **** is God doing when all this horrible **** is going on? Seems almost a polar contrast to some of their other tracks, especially something like Thy Unveiling, but I dig it.
Honorable mention to Daisies, but I can't make out the lyrics worth a ****.
And as I said, Forever is a really disappointing closing track for this album. A good track but..I dunno, not what I would have picked as a send off for the album. Doesn't hold up to masterpieces like Pass Me By, Nothing's Left, etc.
I also really like the skits at the end of some of the tracks, just like we saw on BPB and other albums, though they feel more connected to this particular face than others.

Damn, dawg. Three keychainz? I'm so jelly right now. I'm overcome with envy just imagining all that swag.
(I don't think people care how unfair it is that you got some extra shit bro.)
It was a rubber keychain of MDP's face, 3 of the same, I already gave one to a friend but I have one extra left if you want to trade
So far this my favorite album of theirs that came out after I started listening.

Naw it's cool, I got myself an MDP keychain, already in use holding my keys.
I would agree about this being their best since you, or in my case, I have been down. Shit's been getting consecutively better, in my opinion. I've only been around long enough to witness three major albums drop though. Well, technically I've been around long enough to see every album drop, being as old as their career itself, but I didn't get to experience the first deck until it was completed.

I think this album is by far on eof there best! Ive been down since 97' and nothing will top milenk, riddlebox, and jeckel bros but, death pop is definitely a contender with the other albums! I also think its the shit for newer juggalos to experience the excitement I did with jeckel bros and the 2 wraith albums. nothing like a jokers card release!!! cant wait for the third. bpb and mdp are definitley worthy of the jokers card name!

Where's God attacks God directly and my concious just can't deal with that. I know there just asking questions but shaggy killed it by asking why is he even here.
i dont really see it as an attack. id expect most people have thought about this at some point in their lives. i sure as fuck have.
then, im an agnostic [as opposed to an atheist]. last two lines of the song state my view perfectly.
if there is a god, and it would be nice if there is, ill have a thing or two to say.
awfully paranoid, arent you?

I'm currently bumping Freaky Tales at 44 minutes and its pretty funny. The extra pop emporium has a grip of tight tracks and the remixes are cool too, although kreayshawn was horrible. smothered, covered and chunked is also great. the most of the covers are really good. lil wyte was pretty wack though. im glad abk was on there to make it a whole track. they really shoulda just kept it icp and abk. i wish blaze was left on scrubtitute teachers also...
