No such thing as "old-school Juggalo"

I said this on faygoluvers' facebook page but I'll reiterate it here. "Old school Juggalo" is an oxymoron because anyone "old school" would have been down since before Juggalo was even a word. I usually consider anyone down since before The Wraith: Shangri-La to be "old school" for lack of a better word, but in truth if you rep Juggalo, you're new school. Period.

There's no doubt early 90's is old school Juggalo but i'd say 2000 to 2002 or the raining diamonds era to be old school now. Anything after '03 or '04 would be new school. The Family Era is pitiful the definition of Juggalo changed drastically. If you don't like ICP why call yourself a Juggalo you're contradicting (opinion).

Just to throw in my 2 cents, I've been down since 1999 at Jeckel Bros. which puts me at 13 years, and I consider myself old school (in the broader sense of the word) because I know what it was like to anticipate the 6th. After this set is complete, I'll consider the Bang Pow Boom ninjas old school as well.

How about Eras? Like would y'all consider Tempest or Bang Pow Boom to be old school when the next era hits?

The Tempest wasn't part of a deck though and I wanted other peoples input on that.

Been down since Milenko, my cousin got the CD for his birthday and he ended up giving it to me cause I enjoyed it more than he did. I remember waiting for the 6th and I remember the 5th of November the day after school, walking up to Coconuts. I got a Wraith poster along with my purchase, and not the Best Buy one. Anything ICP did around before Jeckel Brothers, I consider old school.

if you say 'im an old school juggalo,' i take it as a shorthand way of saying, 'ive been down a long time.'  no specific time, or era, or tour, or whatever.  i figure you arent a juggalo until you decide you are [which is different for everybody], and that can be retroactive.

say if ten years from now, the word 'ninjalo' replaces juggalo, for whatever reason.  id say im an old school ninjalo.

again, my lawyer is looking into it, conclusions expected in six to eight weeks.

I always tell people I've been a Juggalo since before Juggalo was a term used for ICP fans.

You're old school if you have followed 6 - 8 eras that adds up to 8 or 12 years. We're all Juggalos from different eras and have followed for over 10 years. Agreed?

I actually think the term 'old' or 'new' school isnt actually dependant on when you starting listening ti Psy or ICP but how you live your life as a Juggalo, 'old' school seemed to be more laid back and accepting but 'new' seem to be more aggressive

I been down since 97' I consider myself old school but use the term a "different breed" meaning im the type that will help a fellow Lo or Lette out thats in need, I don't criticize another Lo or Lette because they didnt show up to the concert without a stitch of Psy related merch. Is there such a thing as old school Lo's and Newer Lo's, yes, but people plz who fucking cares. Just cuz I was down for more than a decade doesnt make me better than you. I dont care if you been down since yesterday, ima treat u the same as if you were standing next to me at the Jeckel Brothers concert or The Bizzar/Bizaar tour or whatever. Here's the thing tho as long as your down, and when you chant family you mean it. Cuz remember we were all "New School" at one point. MCL to all yall for real!
