Evidence suggests that it was probably law enforcement like when they caught that undercover cop breaking windows.
Could be white supremacists because while there is no proof there is an organized Antifa involved there is plenty of proof of white supremacists utilizing the unrest to kill police officers.
More likely the police though. They want people to riot so they have a reason to assault the folks that want to defund them.

What criteria do you use to determine that these sources are reliable?
What effort do you make to seek out sources outside of your world view to make sure you're not succumbing to bias?

I think you mean false positive. False negative would mean that the test came out negative when, in fact, the person did have covid.
I looked up the article, it didn't EXACTLY say that, it says that people who tested contained the virus, but it was a small amount of the virus and probably not enough to be contagious. They suggest lowering the raising the threshold for what constitutes a "positive" case that creates the need for someone to isolate. I'm not against this.
The US wasn't the only country that shut down. This is a pandemic. And for the record, I highly doubt it will just disappear come November. Viruses don't give a fuck about an election.
