While i tend to like their more hype tracks, I’ve also always wondered what they would do with someone like Tricky who has a more mellow tone. A trip hop side project would be sweet.

what about Necro??I don’t want him on the track but as a producer??
just one track and it will be fire
Both great ideas. Necro is a very underappreciated producer. His sound would fit well for a few clown songs. And Tricky as well. Would bring a welcome 90s style trip hop swerve to the production. Call it Insane Clown Portis. Sorry, old man joke lol.
Imagine the clowns on this track
Or this.. I could particularly see J killing this in Dark Lotus mode
Matter of fact, Dark Lotus get back together and create an Earth 2 version melded with Psychopathic Rydas where they jack beats from evil sounding hip hop and trip hop beats.
Lotus Rydas, anyone? Or Sunset Rydas. Dark Rydas. Psychoplotus Rydas…. anyway, someone needs to make this album themselves.

In all seriousness, though. I’d like to see ICP do some tracks outside of their comfort zone, beats wise.
I’d love to see them work with cats like Abilities, DangerMouse, Anthony Davis, Tobacco, Aesop Rock..

DJ Muggs would be dope. I’d love them to try (and probably fail) to take on that dark slow sound he’s been on (again) lately. Also, some of the stuff he produced for Die Antwoord practically sound like ICP beats already:
If somebody’d only listen to that instrumental and were tasked to name it, “Dark Carnival” would probably be the result.
This one is obviously an homage to Cypress Hill, but it also has some very ICP-ish elements to it.
I forget how dope DJ Muggs was.

I’d jack off so hard if they worked with John Carpenter.
Hell yes, never even thought of that! My brother and I actually made a concept album of beats using only Big Trouble in Little China and Bill Cosby samples… don’t ask, it just made sense at the time. I still have the cd rs somewhere.
And the homie who mentioned DangerMouse, kudos. I liked the DangerDoom project.

The R.O.C.
It’s really a shame that this never happened. Such an underrated producer and he did some great stuff for Twiztid, Blaze and ABK while he was at Psychopathic.
Never really worked much with ICP during that time, afaik. Only on some posse cuts and he had Shaggy on his EP and rapped over Shaggy’s beat on Blaze’s album. Which makes me think that maybe J just didn’t want to get over his initial perception of him, which he revealed in Behind The Paint. Or he just got overlooked.
I really do think an ICP album entirely produced by R.O.C. would dope, even now.
