Anyone notice how quiet J got when Adam was talking shit about rappers performing over a backing track? Funny because ICP do that all the time at every show.
I’m not hating, it is what it is. I’m pretty sure it’s a combination of ICP not owning the instrumentals for a lot of their older tracks and the fact J relies on those backing tracks to fill in the gaps where he forgets lyrics. Funny though.
This is another small reason why that Verzuz, with eminem, will never happen.

a verzuz with eminem will never happen cuz he’s one of the biggest rappers of all time and ICP……well they aren’t with all due respect.
Can’t picture Em doing that kinda thing anyways, but if he did it damn sure wouldn’t be with ICP lol.

Drug addiction, new teeth, years of smoking weed and not practicing good vocal warmups/exercises, age.
The pills will have played a huge part in his vocal fumbling and slurred delivery on a lot of the tracks on YYB. You could sort of hear it on FFF (and on the stuff between then and now) but it obviously got to a stage where it was really affecting him for him to seek help.

Yeah his new teeth have impacted how he talks/raps for at least a few years now, I think in his most recent interview with NoJumper it’s not quite as noticeable as it had been before but still definitely a factor. I know someone around his age that had to get new teeth and it took a while for her to get used to it and to not have it impact her speech as much. It was never bad, but, certainly noticeable.

Yeah man. It won’t just be his new teeth though. They will have had an impact but the pills would have played a roll too. I’ve known a few pill addicts and it’s always the same, you can’t tell anything for a long time then all of a sudden it’s like their body gives up the fight and their mouth stops working properly, their posture gets all fucked up and they get real slow. That along with his new teeth is a bad combo.
I noticed the same thing with Richter on King Klick but his “new voice” sounds more like his mouth is too full, rather than sounding like his teeth are falling out and he’s trying to keep them in.

I noticed a few times it look like Violent J’s hand was shaking. Maybe it was just from nerves or maybe it was a health thing.
It’s also odd that he said Shaggy is taking a break until after the holidays, meanwhile I see him on Instagram promoting all the stuff he is doing. Usually you don’t take a break when you put out a new album. But whatever. Shaggy has certainly been holding the fort down so he deserves it.
I’m glad J got helped and hopefully the worst is behind him.
