Both of them are just…meh, to me.
harrowing time, I liked the tone, and atmosphere, it’s a dark song. But it felt like it just…dragged on. This might be hyperbolic it felt like it had a BPM of….3. It’s a good track but it just felt way too slow for me.
something in my room, kind of the opposite feeling actually. the beat was good, the flow was nice, but it just felt…childish? cartoony? corny? some other C word? I don’t know, it didn’t feel as legitimately dark and horrifying as I’d hoped.

It is pretty strange how wildly hit or miss these tracks can be. Some of their Hallowicked singles are some of my absolute favorite ICP songs and they were consistently cool tracks until like 2007. After that they have some good ones and some that are real head scratchers.
I think at some point they shifted their mentality from making sure the Hallowicked songs were bangers to them just being throwaway tracks they don’t mind putting out for free. They’ll still sneak through some cool ones I really like such as 2014’s Red Moon Howl and 2020’s Mr. Nothing Man, but then you get shit like last year’s track “Fun!” that was absolute garbage or something like 2018’s Judgement Day that was “OK” but had no reason to be considered a Hallowicked track.

You can’t tell me that a song that has lyrics like “her neden was yellow and smelled like a cheese pizza” and “she gave me skipholophagus, no doubt.. imma find this bitch, and KNOCK HER THE FUCK OUT!!” makes for a Top 3 Worst Hallowicked track . I love that song lol
One of my favorites that doesn’t seem to get much recognition is “Wicked Hellaween” and also “Murda Cloak”. Both so Halloweeny and dope.

I guess it’s funny if you have the sense of humor of a twelve year old? Which is when I liked it, when I was in like middle school. Now it’s an instant skip whenever it comes on, super cringe.

Another ICP related project that was announced and didn’t come to pass when it was time. I, stupidly, thought this one would come out because they announced the Black Friday album less than a month before its release. I figured surely the thing was done and ready to come out if they announced it so close to the release. Somehow they managed to fuck that up too which is a new level of stupidity. I know J’s going through it right now with Laney’s death and I don’t mean to be a dick about that, just saying you would figure the album was done before all that.

I saw that too. Assuming those people truly are Laney’s friends and aren’t making shit up…it’s pretty bad. And perhaps that’s why Black Friday didn’t come out as maybe J’s having to lay low and fuck off for a while. If he really is more directly responsible for her death than we were led to believe at first then that will be pretty hard to reconcile as a fan.

Highly agree; Toxic Love is genius. “I got home and I kicked back. Thought about the shower, heh heh heh, fuck dat.” Beat is so good. Also, if you dont think Tech ripped the concept off of J on Worst Enemy then you dumb.
If I Ate Your Brains is a low key banger and hilarious and I’m Your Killer is about as wicked as they come. Don’t know why Murda Cloak gets so much love. Concept is weak (plus abk sucks copious cock). Halloween Head is a weak concept but fresssh as hell.
