Almost like J needs to have Jokers Cards to keep him alive.

J needs to sit back and let shaggy take the helm for once. He has been out rapping J for like 4 albums now and J is STILL all over every album. I understand its always been like that but that’s kind of the point.

J writes shaggy’s raps, though. Always has.
When Shaggy writes his own raps it sounds like this:
Shaggy’s delivery is definitely blowing J’s out of the water lately though.
Rapping is more than the words, it’s inflection and flow and allathat.

Nobody’s mind is going to change on this.
people can just say of course shaggy doesn’t give a shit or put effort into those songs when they’re just nobody underground artists who’re paying for a feature.
but then, the answer to that is – of course shaggy would only use his own rhymes at times he doesn’t give a shit if he knows he’s not good at writing.
I could even bring up that according to the insert, shaggy wrote all of his own lyrics for F.T.FO.M.F., but you could just say “duh, J is ghost writing them”. – even though they didn’t bother trying to hide J helping shaggy write lyrics for his earlier solo stuff, F.T.F.O for instance, has “Joseph “Violent J” Bruce – lyrics (tracks: 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 13, 17)” according to wikipedia.
there’s no actual winning this argument or changing peoples minds. people will believe whatever they want.

Man I wonder if Shaggs has ever written raps for J lmao, highly doubt that.
I didn’t realize that J helped write FTFO but not FTFOMF. That’s probably why FTFO is a 10/10 album and FTFOMF is great, and is even a great followup to FTFO, but it doesn’t hold a candle to FTFO.
Fuck the Fuck Off, Forever & Always, and Half Full are such classics.
Surprised though, Shaggy wrote Cobwebs in the Attic which is a fantastic lyrical song
“Cold sweats, shake ’em off
I’m dry heavin and chokin’ on blood clots
Hallucinations are comin’ to real life
Reflections of my face in the back of a butcher knife
Time after time, in the middle of the night
I stare at the ceiling, but I lose sight
I said my prayers, and I tucked myself in tight
But my bed still shakes, somethin’ ain’t right”

Seems everyone thinks FTFO is a classic, got it the day it came out and never thought is was that great apart from couple tracks. Cobwebs In The Attic was one and now even better knowing he wrote it.
However I think FTFOMF is fuckin wicked !! and the best thing they’ve released since Phantom EP and way better than FTFO but think that just me
And yeah J needs to stop spending all his time and the patreon’s trying to get laid by 20 year olds, seems the only time he puts effort in and acts like he wants to be there (Patreon shows) even tho Shaggz & Jumpsteady just sit there in pure cringe mode and try change the subject

It’s a natural tendency on the internet for people to be cynical & shit but I just hope he’s ok & this is a bump in the road. The patreon live streams came about while J has been slipping. I want to see him happy & healthy for years to come.
Every single person looking @ this forum has had the world this dude built effect their life to an insane degree. His impact is understated massively.

I wonder if Violent J cancelled last night’s Patreon event because of all those disses on the East Side Ninjas album……..might take the big lug a week or two to recover from that verbal beatdown…..

I don’t know if much counts as a verbal beat down on that album. That’s a excessive way to define it.
I found Blazes lyrics about basically saying they “haven’t had a idea since the late 90s” to be comical.
Are we trying to act like MNE doesn’t have 70 percent of the talent that Psychopathic created? Even 2000s Psychopathic created and boosted Young Wickeds career, Boondox and his gimmick stemmed from the Bloody Brothers, Blazes gimmick was created by J.
Even the whole monster 5 thing was a pretty good idea, it just got derailed a bit by the pandemic. So Blazes line holds the amount of water a laundry basket would.
I can understand why MNE wanted to get some punches in because of ICP bringing up the beef on last year’s interview.

psychopathic didn’t *create* any talent. and frankly I find this idea fucking stupid as shit. Would they be as successful as they are now without psychopathic? impossible to say, probably not but its impossible to actually say. But this whole fucking “they CREATED twiztid” or “they MADE boondox” or whatever else is just fucking laughable.
You may as well say the same thing about ICP. Did island records create ICP? did jive? great milenko, their best selling album and the album that got them the single most increase in attention and promotion was released on hollywood. Did hollywood *make* ICP? does ICP owe their whole career to any of these labels?
Absolutely fucking not. and yet somehow everyone who comes through psychopathic owes everything they ever have to ICP? it’s some bullshit is what it is.

Unless you have a time machine AND you’re capable of inception level manipulation, this argument will never be resolved. Absolute waste of time and energy, even trying to debate it. Who cares? ICP and Twiztid… That’s who cares. That’s who should care. They’re grown men with beef. It’s super gay to get involved with it, if it doesn’t affect you directly. Who are you fighting for? Some guy who doesn’t even know you exist? Focus on yourself and your own problems. I guarantee there is something in your life that deserves that energy over the psychopathic/MNE beef.

Did any of those labels “give” ICP their name and gimmick? It’s not a great comparison that you’ve made to say the least.

What if ICP sat down with their artists and they had a brainstorming session to come up with the gimmicks and names? What if everyone was involved? What if it was like:
Violent J: I think Twisted is a good name
Jamie Madrox: What about Twizted? Give it a different edge
Shaggy: What about Twizzy Twizzer?
Violent J: No.
Monoxide: What if we went with Twiztid?
Violent J: Perfect. You need to paint your face coz thats like our thing. I was thiking just full white facepaint, maybe with blood or something.
Shaggy: What about Blackface lol?
Violent J: No.
Madrox: How about white face with black eyes?
Monoxide: Yeah and contacts.
Violent J: This shit sounds fantastic, chaps. We should toast the occasion with a glass of Cava and a cheeseboard.
Maybe its a collaborative effort but the final decision falls on J, as hes the creative force behind the label but im sure the artist has a say in how their career goes. I think the argument that Psychopathic makes an artist is ridiculous unless you know how the process works/has worked in the past. Maybe it is all J and he basically says “you either accept this gimmick and this look or you dont get signed”. Maybe its something that they have to deal with to get that contract. Fast forward a few years and youre stuck with this whole image that was created for you that you cant shift. Maybe thats cause to be bitter too.
Or maybe, Violent J does come up with all this shit because all his artists have no imagination and he has all these fire ideas that fit these artists perfectly. Im not saying this is impossible but it doesnt feel right to me because he can barely come up with a fresh idea for his own music these days (not hating, just facts).
All im saying is, you all talk about this shit like you know exactly how it works. Like life is black and white. There are so many factors to consider. None of you ever had a boss that takes credit for your work? You never been part of a collaborative effort and been made to look like it was all the work of one or two people? None of you ever been called a liar then you try to defend yourself and you just look like a defensive, bitter bitch so eventually you just stop trying to defend yourself?
Easy to talk shit from the outside and make assumptions. Hence its gay as fuck to be involved in something you know nothing about, other than skimming surface details from songs and interviews. You’re a Ride or Die for 50 yr old men you know nothing about.

Respectfully disagree. Island records didnt come up with the 6 jokers cards concept, the Faygo, face paint, juggalos so really all they did was put ICP on a bigger platform.
It’s no secret that ICP really pushed Twiztid and came up with their root concepts. ICP has always treated their rappers like wrestlers in the wrestling world. In terms of how much they invest in their rappers. Let’s also mention the whole “Majik Ninja” thing was somthing ICP was doing on their homemade tapes wayyy back in the day before Big Money Hustlas. Yet another idea that has been transitioned into Twiztids whole name and label.
I can’t say Twiztid wouldnt be successful without ICP but damn the alternate world where they exist with no connection to ICP would be drastically different. All I’m saying is the results that happened have lots of connections and links to ICP.

this whole discussion is dumb as hell.
on at least two seperate songs, monoxide has credited j with being the reason they were at where they were, so its not like they deny icp helped them at all.
and, j could have mentioned the name twiztid all he wants, he didnt write their raps for them. didnt j even say twiztid were ‘devastating’ rappers, or something similarly complimentary on one of these patreon videos? maybe the chris hansen interview?
i mean, i forget what song at this point, but j even started a verse off by saying that madrox had written about the topic of being buried alive, and then proceeded to rap about the same thing. so, maybe ideas were going both ways while they were spending so much time together?

Ravens Mirror I wanna say was the track you were referring to. I was listening to that track just the other day and trying to remember what track J was reffering to.
