What is a Juggalo? is a question often asked by outsiders. And when we let outsiders try to define us, we get their interpretation of us as our reputation. That shit really bugs me. Who defines punks? Punks. Who defines goths? Goths. Who defines juggalos? fucking everybody and their momma. And that shit is annoying.
It's trendy as fuck to capitalize off us and exploit us and then these fucks who laugh at us make some half assed statement about how we're "really kinda cool" and "just like everybody else" and whatever and it just bugs the piss out of me.
The other day the gathering website updated and one of the updates was a movie night thing where different psy artists will pick a movie to show and it got me thinking. I'm a video artist and there will be a projector and screen and everything I need to show my work at the gathering. I'm gonna try and do everything I can to get a video or two played before or between the movies or whatever.
One of my ideas is to take the song What Is A Juggalo and edit together footage of juggalos saying the lines. I want to get as many juggalos involved as possible. I want it to be BIG and special. I want to see mother fuckers painted up with their own designs and showing off their own creativity.
But I want it to go further than just the funny lyrics ICP wrote. I want people to include their own lines about what they wish people knew about who we are as a group or as individuals.
So, for me, I might say something about being an atheist who is also a sunday school teacher, and values what religion has to offer even if I don't believe in the supernatural.A friend of mine might mention being an asexual sexologist. Just quick little lines. Whatever. And we can all throw in our cities too, for those bits.
Anyway, so yeah. I need juggalos. I'll do the editing. Just upload the videos somewhere where i can download them. You can submit them on my tumblr (see link) or you can email them to my email [email protected] and you can show a URL or whatever you want to promote if you got something going on.
I can't make any garuntees, but I'd love to get this together in time for the gathering and have it be part of the event, but also have it live online for free forever. And I expect great fucking lyrics about how juggalos ain't fucking gang members and shit. And fucking I would LOVE to include a few lyrics from women about what it means to be a juggalo/ette.
Sorry if this is a big wall of text but I'd really appreciate getting some help with this.

Why would I think you're trolling? For starters, you messed up when you said you were transexual. Trans people can typically spell their identity. Also, Transsexual is an outdated term and is usually (though not always) regarded as a slur. When it isn't being regarded as a slur it is used to describe transgender people who have corrected their genitalia to match their identity. Transvestite is a slur used against trans individuals and is often applied to straight men who wear women's clothing to get off sexually (cross dressing) but this is really, really offensive. What you described was a cross dresser not a trans woman.

okay i was just wondering if you had any quality control standards with this project. i can see useing low quality stuff, but i feel like you would get a whole bunch of stuff from both sides of the coin and every thing in between.
but for real i would defiantly love to see this come though though.

You can't change ignorance, especially through a forum. Don't let that dissuade you from things like the Gathering, though. You'll find all walks of life there. Every year I've been there has been at least one same sex marriage. I am unsure of transgender and the like, but I am sure there were some due to the density of people there. It would be unlikely that there were none.

People are people. As long as some are considered (or consider themselves) 'different' bigotry as well as this PC bullshit will never end. I used to fill pre-op and post-op prescriptions when I worked in an Orlando pharmacy for those undergoing gender reassignment surgery, and their cases were considered no more important than the cancer patients, HIV/AIDS patients, etc. From the bottom of my clowny heart, all are welcome.
