Are you fucking kidding me dude? This is pure garbage front to back, even Shaggy’s song. I cannot fucking believe J made another AWFUL attempt at covering a shitty rock song. I’m done, ICP is dead. RIP.
I haven’t had a chance to listen to the EP but I did just listen to Keep On Choppin’ just to get it out of the way. Once upon a time, J could do stuff like that and it’d be enjoyable, Let’s Go All The Way being a good example. But now he’s gotten into this trend of making songs that aren’t quite “covers” but they kind of are and he proceeds to shit all over the track with a blown out voice that’s not suited at all for the stuff he’s trying to do. Then he’ll just replace lyrics with Juggalo buzzwords (like “choppin'” instead of “rockin'”) and it’s nowhere near as clever as he thinks.
I don’t get it. Like, how are these tracks ending up on ICP albums, EPs, and the Three Headed Monster album? If he wants to put out his own solo covers album or something then fine I suppose, but I can’t wrap my head around his insistence on putting these tracks on group projects.

I don’t think this is a good EP, but I do think it’s on par with the rest of the Yum Yum releases. Some had slightly more songs that I liked, some had slightly more songs that I despised, and over all I think it was a massive step down for them after FFF.
But I don’t see why you guys think this was some hastily slapped together stuff and marketed as Woh to fool the fans. The EP has the same structure as Vic and Pug. They both had a shitty rock cover by J as well (Hungry Like A Wolf and 80’s Rock Ballad).
There’s even at least one track produced by MEC on here, Elly May. It’s pretty decent, too. Kinda old school ICP vibe, and I liked J’s rapping, which has become rare these days. Actually I thought Shaggy was the weak link on this one. But I did like his solo song. Although the chorus was uninspired.
I guess I could see Out The Sky having been added later. But other than that, it does feel like the other EP’s to me. Wicked Vic also didn’t have a title track, just an intro. They all have a shitty cover song and a meh remix version of an already meh song off Yum Yum and then a very mixed bag of songs ranging from shitty to kinda dope. Pug Ugly is the outlier and the best one, probably because of MEC.

1. the intro is very mid, rehashed carny music from “the juggla” 3/5
2. the beat’s good, the lyrics are good generally & fit the topic.. 4/5
3. the beat’s fine, the verses & topic kinda has a old school vibe, as well as the beat briefly. 3.5/5
4. i like the simple older rock beat. dont really care for the singing or lyrics.. 2.5/5
5. the beat during the hook is pretty good.. more weak singing & lyrics. 3/5
6. good beat, lyrics/story could be better but overall in a direction i dig.. 4/5
7. the beat’s definitely different for ICP but im diggin it. def sounds like an album closer more than the yum yum version. 4/5
overall 3.75/5.. i’d def say this is my fav of the 3 ep’s tho.. the 1st half just needed better material..

Okay, old school is a stretch, I give you that. It’s definitely not 90’s or early 2000’s ICP.
But it’s ICP rapping over a bouncy MEC beat like they used to. It has a coherent hook that doesn’t sound completely forced and lackluster, plus a simple straight forward flow that they didn’t fuck up. To me this feels so much more familiar than those lazy trap beats and soundcloud-style rapping that J tries now sometimes. It gives me Mighty Death Pop vibes. That kinda happy Pop-y energetic ICP sound, that I wasn’t really a fan of at the time, but compared to the devereaux and shaggytheairhead produced tracks, I’ll take it. You don’t hear a difference between this and, say, Banshee?

I’ve had the chance to listen to the whole EP. There’s a few good moments, but overall it’s not great and I am quite certain J and Shaggy didn’t actually work together on this. There’s also no story or even mention of what Woh the Weeping Weirdo actually is. Definitely am sure this was all thrown together just to check it off the list. Here are my very quick thoughts on each track:
Intro – I actually like it. Not very original at all, but, sounds cool
Out The Sky – This track exemplifies ICP’s output from the last few years very well; it has a pretty good beat and J actually does some cool stuff in the verses, but he has absolutely forgotten how to create hook and the track kind of falls apart at that point.
Elly May – I could tell this was a Mike E Clark beat before he was shouted out. But overall, it’s a wack song. It’s just a “not as good” version of a concept they’ve used several times in songs in the past which were all much better than this one.
Keep On Choppin’ – I already got this one out of the way and made my comments known a little further up in this thread. In short – it absolutely fuckin blows and someone needs to ban J from including Juggaloified covers of rock songs he absolutely has no range for on their ICP albums and EPs.
Banshee – I like the beat, but J’s verses are so half-assed and shitty sounding it’s crazy. Shaggy comes in dope though, so at least we have that. And again, absolutely horrible chorus.
Average Joey – Clearly this was made for one of Shaggy’s solo albums or EPs with no intention of it being on an ICP project. But it is a good track though. Not the best of his “Joey” tracks, but, not bad.
Something To See (Mike P Remix) – In what may be a first time ever, I actually like this remix version better than the YYB version. At least you can hear the goddamn verse vocals, and this version suddenly feels more like a tribute to “Something About You” by Level 42 and less like a shitty adaption of it. Still not some of their best work, but good for a remix.

Like how The Tempest became a roller coasterWhat was the original concept for it?
a tempest. which is a horrific storm.. the prior release was “the calm” ep.. like the saying “the calm before the storm.” the following release was “eye of the storm” so they kinda stuck with the concept..

There’s really no excuse for Shaggy calling him the Warrior. The EP is still called Woh The Weeping Weirdo. At the very least, they should call it by the correct name at least one time, which did not happen. Then after the intro, there’s no reference at all to Woh or any mythology whatsoever. Shaggy calling it by the wrong name is further proof to me that J and Shaggy did not work on this together at all.
