So agreed. "A-1 Yola" is like the Psychopathic Earth 2 version of "Dead Flowerz".

I like just about every song. I can do without "Justa Hustla" but it's not the worst thing in the world.

And yes, back in my wilder days, we did indeed cut up and insuffulate various substances off of the cd case.

Cant believe I forgot about these but:

The Wraith remixes, yeah the Mike E Clark beats were cool but still felt like throwaways seeing as the real beats went to Project Deadman.. most of the other remixes on there were meh

Pony Down.. after how good the OG Foodang was this album was a weird whisper filled borefest

The "Tech N9ne' (Aka Seven) remix to the witch was cool. That is the kind of seven beat I wish ICP would use when they work with Seven.

I remember downloading a leak of the remix albums before the release date.

I would love to hear a full Joker Card procured by Seven. Beats like that one you mentioned and "Phantom" are right on the money for what I'd like to hear out of ICP if it's not going to be MEC.

Man I forgot about Soopa Villains - Furious..  had such high hopes for it

Silence of the Hams

PPPPpow

Migrane headache

Soopa Villains (on Shangria la)

Were all awesome, it went from E & J meshing really well to adding Lavel and having horrible beats, ah man the more I listen to those 2002ish E & J tracks I wonder what could've been

The Only Solution is Psychopathic's most underrated project and Cold 187um on Psy was a huge waste of potential. And that's the hill I'm going to die on.

So when Hutch signed to Psy I was underwhelmed at first, to say the least. I hadn't listened to Above The Law's albums yet and their first couple of collabs pretty much sucked, i.e. Where Do We Go From Here, Danger Party and The Psychopathic Assassin. His Psypher 4 verse was fine, but nothing to write home about either. Love For Dem Gangstas is dope, tho.

I actually liked the idea of the deluxe mixtape. Never really understand the hate towards it. Psychopathic artists have rapped over so many classic Hip Hop beats so it was cool to see it done the other way around. Especially because those beats have classic status in Juggalodom, but obviously never get the classic beat treatment in Hip Hop. But I was also skeptical, because I saw some beats on that list that I didn't like (e.g. Damn Bitch), and some that were so classic that I figured I'd never be able to hear anything else but the original song when that beat comes on (e.g. So High). But I thought he schooled that! I fucking hate Damn Bitch especially because of that hook. But Swan Sighting goes hard and has a sweet hook.

And the hook on Layin' Low? Come on, you can't tell me that isn't smooth as fuck.

The hook on Job Well Done is even smoother!

In contrast to that, the hook on Born 2 Kill goes haaard!

Songs are more than just their choruses of course. And I can see how his rapping style can be kinda off putting, I felt the same about him at first, and maybe I just got used to his style, but come the fuck on, that 3rd verse on Born 2 Kill still gives me goosebumps!

I also loved the storytelling. We rarely get a concept album that really commits to telling a linear story from beginning to end. Like, Brotha Lynch Hung's Dinner And A Movie was advertised to be that, but most of the time he's just rapping as Brotha Lynch with some skits in between (still one of my all time favorite albums, though!). But Hutch really committed to the character and virtually all the lyrics were in character and kept the story moving. Wizard Of The Hood is really the only other album that I can think of that was this consequent on telling a story in a linear fashion, so it was nice to get something like that again (Sticky Fingaz' rap operas also come to mind, but not much else. But I'm sure y'all are about to school me on this).

So why was it a waste of potential? Because it ended right after this project. I would have loved to hear an actual album next (with original beats), although it's not unlikely that that one would have been disappointing, as the solo projects he released on his own afterwards largely fell flat, for me at least.
I also would have loved to get The Only Solution, Part 2, since I dig his takes on Psy classics and the story was left open ended and set up for a follow-up. However, since Juggalos weren't feeling the first part, a second one wouldn't gotten them excited either. But it would have been nice for me, damnit!

But even if Cold 187um on his own doesn't do much for you, I think he had a lot to offer Psychopathic:

First, I think he would have been great in a supergroup, because of his unique style that he brings to the table. I can see him fit right in with a legends supergroup with, say, ICP, Scarface, Willie D, DJ Paul and Esham. I think he would have been a better fit for the Killjoy Club than Young Wicked, too, because he could have performed the same function (the combo of singing and rapping) but he has the same legendary status that ICP and Three 6 have. At the very least more than Otis does.

Second, he would have been a great hook guy on Psychopathic. Maybe some of y'all still disagree, but I think he's pretty brilliant when it comes to choruses.

Thirdly, and I think this is the biggest waste: his fucking production. Honestly, how dope would it have been to have some genuine g-funk on Psychopathic by one of the (some argue the) inventors of g-funk?! A straight up g-funk album by Blaze is still on my wishlist. Drive-By was always lacking something, and I think Hutch's beats (and maybe choruses) could have been it. I know that probably wouldn't have happened anyways because Blaze left soon after, but an ABK solo album with bouncing g-funk beats would have been great, too! I would also love some more ICP g-funk flavor, à la Nuttin' but a Bitch Thang.

And to conclude this fucking essay, here's my proof of concept. Hutch produced two songs on Big Hoodoo's Crystal Skull. One is Happily Ever After, which is nice, but doesn't exactly give me what I was hoping for. But the other one is the title track and it's an undeniable fucking banger! And perfectly illustrates how well his style can mesh with Psychopathic.

Thanks for your passionate input man. Ive never cared about The Only Solution, I just gave it a short listen back then and at those moments it didnt work for me. But the tracks you refered to have indeed smooth chorusses, so I'll give it another chance

Plus, I have to second Smack, I really enjoyed 9 Pistolas as well. Yeah there are a couple of skippable tracks, but overall it's a smooth listen. Favorite songs are probably Mary Jane, Eternally Blissed and Paradise Parade, despite being corny here and there.

As far as I'm concerned, basically the majority of albums released from 2007 on would contend.

In those 14 years, I think they've released 3 solid albums

Dark Lotus - The Opaque Brotherhood
Insane Clown Posse - Bang! Pow! Boom!
Ouija Macc - GutterWater

GutterWater/WaterDamage were both fucking great and had me really excited for his future, feel like Ouija has already fell off since though, really wasn't into the mountain of stuff he put out last year.
