I recall reading Scotty’s original write up. It might have been the first time I came to FLH. I remember the review was a pretty big scoop and it definitely put FLH on my radar. Crazy that Faygoluvers is still around 20 years later. It has to be the last survivor from that era. Even insaneclownposse.com is just a redirect now.

I remember that write up. I was already super hyped about what we were hearing about the album, then the write up came out and I was really pumped. And it lived up to the hype, WOTH remains one of the best releases on Psychopathic ever.
ICP/Psychopathic was really good at creating hype back in this era. Obviously the hype for the Joker Cards, especially the 6th, kind of took care of itself. But then they had the original Tales From The Lotus Pod came out and they were telling stories about stuff happening while recording the songs and gave cool descriptions to create hype and mystique. I’m quite sure it was like 99% bullshit, but, still effective. And the talk about WOTH and the descriptions of it and stuff even before the FLH write up really made it sound awesome and exciting and you just couldn’t wait to get it.
