So after a few listens the track is growing on me, but I can’t get passed the video. Way too “Twiztid” like for me.
When I say that, I’m referring to the content in the video. All of the mainstream serial killer images. That has always been Twiztid’s thing (and I’m not hating on Twiztid when I say that). To me ICP doesn’t need this type of imagery to convey the wicked shit. Could have been more minimalistic and original imo to let the viewer form an image in their mind.

That’s that Raw shit. No shaggy but still, this is a great start.

They’re referencing real serial killers. I think if there was Freddy and Jason in the imagery than I’d agree with your point.
Altogether though I’m syked about this single and video first time in a long time since I’ve repeated a video and song like this , I’m gonna refrain from sampling the rest and wait till it pops up on Spotify (CD pre ordered too 💵)

I gotta say that video has the best editing I’ve ever fucking seen in a music video. I love this track and love the video even more.
Also, what a sick hook. That’s gonna be in my head for a few days for sure.

I definitely gotta say this is easily the best first single released from an album in quite some time. Both the song and video are super dope. I am very curious as to who produced the track, that beat is pretty interesting. And J impressed me here, I tend to like his work best when he’s playing the character in the song and not just describing one/rapping about one. Of course we’re used to J having many solo songs, but it’s a bummer there’s no appearance of Shaggy at all. Like not even an ad-lib in the background or anything. And then you’d think he’d be in the video in some way, but nope.
I did listen to the preview clips twice that are out if you preorder on iTunes (someone posted them on reddit which is where I listened). Definitely kind of a different vibe and sound going on, which is cool. I’ll save any real judgements until I’ve heard the songs in full at least a few times, but I will admit that some of a few clips sounded really lame. But other than those few, a lot of other stuff sounds like it’s going to be really cool. Certainly seemed to have some songs that are actually personal, which is somewhat rare for them since so much of what they do is absolute fiction and character stuff. Looking forward to hearing it all.
And who knows, maybe newly sober J along with Shaggy who’s been seeming to have the time of his life these days will have a new energy and a bit of a resurgence to them in some way? Especially after their farewell tour.

I noticed this as well. Like ICP has had a 30 year career and has been notorious for story telling, comedy, sex songs, cartoon horror, anti racist lyrics. The most personal song they’ve done was Behind the paint.
But some of the tracks seem personal. Im certain “Ain’t no Time” is about J’s divorce. Drunk and the addict sounds to familiar for demons both J and Shaggy have fought. The whole theme of betrayal and loyalty I can bet is spun off J’s falling out with Twiztid, Young Wicked. Plus Fuck Regrets dealing with past decisions and getting older. Also add in Js Panic attacks and Insomnia.
You gotta believe somewhat the idea of this card was in mind during production of FFF. Bare in mind the Twiztid falling out happened during early Fred Fury production. The fact the name Yum Yum Bedlam was actually on the album. This clearly wasn’t a idea that formulated after FFF came out.
