Check the social media numbers and venue bookings. ICP is still on top and MNE is faaaaaaaar behind.

You're just spewing bullshit.

Twiztid's billboard numbers are now destroying ICP's.

Hell even Boondox's first full length on MNE outcharted ICP's Missing Link:Found.

Boondox moved more units than the clowns! embarassed

Who is the one spouting bullshit? The Murder peaked at 74 on the top 200, which is really the only one that matters. Missing Link Lost hit 17 on the 200 and still outperformed Dox on the indie and rap charts (Top 200 is still the only one that really matters). Even Twiztid didn't chart higher than Missing Link with Continues Evilution. No one on MNE has out-charted ICP. The duo mini solo tour was a bad idea, but Dox had to cancel a show because of lack of ticket sales recently as well. It's hard out here for underground artists. Again though, the two solo tours at once was a pretty bad idea.

And judging by the videos online of the COC show and Twiztid's set at Attack of The Ninjas, they looked to be the same size crowd with Twiztid's crowd being only slightly larger. That's a show with just ICP vs the entire MNE roster on the same day and MNE only barely outsold Psy on that one? And tickets to AOTN were only $40 while the COC show was $250 and it was still a comparable crowd size.

I think MNE got in over their head by signing 11 other artists besides Twiztid. Unless George really is swimming in money, they won't be able to sustain that many people on the label for very long, especially when two thirds of them aren't charting for shit.

Friendly reminder that all the doomsaying ITT boils down to "PSYCHOPATHIC STOP DOING STUFF I DON'T LIKE" as per usual, and even if the faces have changed this sort of attitude has existed for years.

The topic is bollocks, but the finer points of the MNE v Psy business debate is at least interesting. To start, "x is doomed to fail cuz y" is a meme, and a stupid one, so that's in the garbage outright. If we're treating this like a game, and there's somehow a "winner", the only way to measure it definitely is by examining the net income of each company. That can change year to year, quarter to quarter. So with that abitrary condition in mind, the winner is.....Strange Music. Moving on.

These days I sense that record sales and even tickets aren't the best measurement for an artist's success. Maybe for an artist's success on a label, but these days there's so many indies that any one of those artists could get dropped tomorrow and would likely get scooped up by a smaller company that would welcome the brand recognition. Show me longevity, and I'll show you a motherfucker doing alright in the game.

Besides, units are an unreliable yardstick, since bootlegging music is easier than ever. Hell, I won't lie, a full half of my yearly musical intake is bootlegs, especially if its a debut. I'm not a total dick, if I like your shit I'll buy merch, and if I *really* like your shit I'll buy a digital and a hard copy. My point is, it's a lot harder to bootleg merch. Little overhead and easy profit. Psy, Strange and MNE all realize the value in this, and while I'm of the opinion that MNE has saturated their merch game to the point of tackiness, that kind of product variety is a good way to capture a wide swath of consumers.

Speaking of cracking open demographics, let's look at MNE's approach to signed talent. In the past, Psychopathic has had a very 'man on an island' mindset when it comes to artists, signing obscure and relative unknowns and debuting them as a Psy-branded product. Their approach to reaching new markets is to tailor a product to that market, such as was the case with Boondox. MNE is not afraid to scoop up talent based on a pre-existing buzz, opening up a market in the process, as was the case with G-mo Skee and Gorilla Voltage. These are two different approaches which lead to the same end, which is closer to the reality of the situation than my team gon win and urs gon lose haha-hahaha. There's such a thing as healthy competition in business, and since nobody can hold a monopoly on the underground I don't see either company going anywhere anytime soon. In those kinds of conditions, it's us who are the real winners.

1. Drop the politics. - Juggalos have gotten into some weird political arenas. Unless ICP wants to do a track on healthcare and tax reform, we need to steer clear. Furthermore, if this march gets violent and there is intermingling between MOAB/BLM/Antifa, juggalos need to commit to a unilateral withdrawal and condemnation of their own political group. The police would love to have an excuse to shut down our "gang rally" and the public would delight at seeing juggalos punching Trump supporters, white supremists, black people and each other. Let's not let them define who we are.

2. Don't shit where you eat. - Help your homeboy get signed. To another label. Don't bang the help and don't help who you're banging. If your home boy is good, let them stay indie and we'll embrace them. If they're not, let them stay indie and we won't blame you for the whackness.

3. Let artists learn on their own and be themselves. - Allow them to come to you for guidance and stop Puff Daddy-ing them. Scarecrow was one of my favorite underground artists that just needed a little boost in production. Psy Boondox had great production, but seemed over-the-top gimmicky, almost like the Mama's Family of Horrorcore (And I heard you all through it, Joe). MNE Boondox seems like porridge at just the right temperature.

4. Stop poaching artists and invest. - They rarely sign new artists, but every-time they come to town, the local opener is looking to impress the clowns and get a record deal. Most of these groups have their own imprint, but would bail on it in a minute if given a hatchetman pendant. Instead of letting these artists and imprints hold on to a false hope, invest in their companies. Buy a 10% or 20% share, get them incorporated, help them navigate the legal framework and put together a business plan to become profitable. There is a graveyard full of labels that launched whole movements. Psychopathic isn't unique. But they are in a good position to help shape the next generation of their movement. And, if properly invested, the next generation could be lucrative.

5. Make good music.

Bro you're so fuckin dim you had to misquote me to try and make your point.

I compared ICP and Boondox's most recent nationally distributed albums, and here's the cold hard truth for your ass-

MISSING LINK : FOUND debuted at #136 on the Billboard 200.

THE MURDER debuted at #74 on the Billboard 200.

and to quote you-

Also, Twiztid's Billboard chart numbers really are destroying ICP's these days.

Continuous Evilution debuted at #28 on the Billboard 200.

We are not cherry picking releases here, the reality is ICP's album sales suck right now. They are barely pressing up copies of any of their new shit. Only thing that looks like it's getting put in stores anytime soon is the Milenko Re-release. Lyte's EP was digital and Hatchetgear only.

Yeah Continuous Evilution and The Murder outcharted Found, the worse half of a double album. Is that the only argument you have that Twiztid is "destroying" ICP on the charts? So you just totally disregard the units that Lost sold a few months prior to that?

How can ICP's album sales suck right now when they haven't released a record since 2015 anyway?

2016 is the first year they did not release a project(including solo stuff) since 1991. The only other year was 2008 but they still released J's bootleg version of the shining and lotus that year. They had a good streak going.

On topic, psychopathic is fine. They don't need any other artists to survive. However once icp retires or one of them die, so will the label. 2016 was a slow year but look at the previous year. They released 4 solid projects in 2015 and so far 4 projects this year(incredible erection collection, ftfomf, intelligence&violence, and milenko 20th). Comparing MNE and psy is not fair. Psy has no interest in growing or becoming a huge music powerhouse anymore whereas MNE is in its infancy and is all about growing.

Y'know, I've been thinking. Since the thread theme is, imagine you are something you're not, instead of being a snobby shade throwing lil shit like I was earlier I'm gonna take this idea and run with it.

If I was the CEO of Psychopathic, I would rehire Tom Dubb and wicket_juan. That's it.

If I worked in the warehouse at PsychopathicMerch I would touch my greasy asshole before handling your clothes.

If I was J-webb I'd leak my own sextape and make sure it includes lots of dirty talk.

If I worked the mailroom at Psychopathic I would pick three fan letters a month and troll their address with snail mail dickpic polaroids and write "<3 Shaggy" on the back in sharpie.

If I were ICP I'd release a mystery album of nothing but Twiztid covers and have you all fucked up in the game.

If I were the CEO of Majik Ninja I would sign Justin Guarini and Clay Aiken rebranded as 'The Amerikan Rejectz' just to see what happens and employ nothing but actual Koga Ninja.

If I was an intern at Majik Ninja I'd slip Jamie Madrox GHB and try an fuck him

If I was the President of Faygo Beverages I would have a drinking problem and if my wife can't take this 24 ounce bottle up in her at least to the tip of the 'a' I'm gonna hit her.

If I was Geno Cultshit I would swaggerjack Blaze's gimmick so hard that he wouldn't be able to talk shit 'cause I obviously do it better.

Then start a supergroup with MC Breed, Koopsta Knicca and TNT called The Dednexx

For our show closer we'll do a track called 'Ur Nexxt' where we bring out all the openers from earlier that evening on stage and eat their fuckin' brains

If I was Blahzay Roze I'd run my own camgirl channel, 'Blahzay's Hoez' and be the Heidi Fleiss of the underground

If I was King Gordy I'd put my money where my twitter is and open mouth kiss Bizarre in public

If I was Sugar Slam I would make it my life's mission to get impregnated by King Luccem Ferre regardless of his feelings on the matter

If I was Kevin Gill I would lace all my commentaries with subtle homoeroticism and when you try to call me on it I'll act like you're the asshole.

If I were Travis O'Guinn I would put spycams in Mackenzie's toilet bowls because deep down I am a sick man

If I were DJ Clay I'd get the crowd hype with my catchphrase: "Shliggybiggybooboo, y'all!"

If I were Tech N9ne I would let G-mo Skee sit on my shoulders and we could pretend to be Voltron and it would be so much fun you guys

If I were the guy working the merch booth at an ICP concert I would have OCD and a really depressing home life.

If I were Legz Diamond I would straight up fuck an octopus

If I were Chuck Reeves I would do a 3 hour livestream of just me crying

If I was Billy Bill I'd sit next to you on the bus that one time.

If I was Gorilla Voltage I would kiss once in the middle of an interview with no context and never acknowledge that it happened.

If I were Rachelette I would get swole as fuck and you wouldn't wanna fuck with me, motherfucker.

Man, come to think of it, it's a good thing I'm none of these things. Playing pretend is fucking terrifying.

here's what I would Do As CEO of psychopathic records...

1. Sign  TAUREAN J to Psychopathic Records - Dude is the most talented underground rapper from Detroit and he deserves some nationwide distribution for his awesome Music, Straight Wicked shit, nothing but that wicked shit. Psychopathic need to sign him and release a Taurean J album. Mad props to the homie Taurean J

2. I.C.P. should make that Bloody Brothers album, I'm well aware of what it was supposed to be, I Still think about how much cooler it could of been instead of signing boondox to do it, fuck that, Violent J and Shaggy as Bloody Louie Voorhees and Bloody Larry Voorhees, and Mike E Clark on the beats and turn tables as Bloody Lyle Voorhees, This would of been so fucking Cool, they should still do it!

3. Re-Sign PROJECT BORN, I Met these dudes in Seattle and they were really the coolest motherfuckers. And Graveyard is my favorite I.C.P. Song so I guess I'm a little biased but Fuck, Give them a DOPE producer and they could create some Dope wicked Shit!, born dead 2 was fucking awesome!

4. The Next I.C.P. Album that isn't a jokers card should be HELLA fucking WICKED, just nothing but EVIL straight Up Sick made serial killer butcher Wicked Clown shit, that's all I want, it would be cool if it was on A jokers card though! just sayin' ... give me some of that Hell's Pit shit my ninja!

5. Get back into "Wrestler mode" when it comes to Mainstream interviews... I miss the crazy I.C.P. interviews where they would get hella hype and crazy, now it's like whenever they're interviewed it's Joey and Joe which is still mad cool, but I miss the crazy funny I.C.P. wrestler type hype talk when they used to get interviewed back in the day

6. being positive is Totally cool, but As far as my juggalo ass is concerned, I want that DEAD shit when I Bump psychopathic, I Want to hear that dark shit, that Wicked shit, so yeah just keep it Wicked, try to get even more Wicked than NATAS, I know I.C.P. can do it and keep the humor in it too... Fuck it, reunite with Twizzler and give us another Dark Lotus album and Dark Lotus tour... make Twiztid sign to psychopathic again hahaha

7. PSYCHOPATHIC RYDAS TOUR AND NEW PSYCHOPATHIC RYDAS ALBUM - bring back Twin Gatz, Foe Foe, Lil Shank and Cell Block, I would really be advocating for I.C.P. to get this poppin if I was the CEO of psychopathic!

8. ANOTHER FUCKING JUMPSTEADY ALBUM - Enough Said

9. Inner City Posse - New album - make it good, make it gangster Detroit as Fuck... sample funk beats on every song

10. WE WANT MIKE E. CLARK AND LEGZ DIAMOND BACK ON THE NEXT ALBUM... it wouldn't hurt to focus more on making the names of the jokers cards and the actual images look more cool and wicked either...

11. Here's the Crazy idea... INSANE CLOWN POSSE should make a hardcore punk rock album! in the style of crust punk / death rock / oi / power violence / but still keep the same I.C.P. style of humor, just incorporate into hardcore punk rock...

alright Fuck it... that's what I would do....

Ok kids, Uncle Kreeper hasn't slept so instead of making sound and sane decisions as a productive member of the human race I'm just gonna keep rocking with this cuz

a8c.jpgImage Enlarger

If I was The R.O.C. I would straighten out a slinky and slide it up my dickhole, then call up George and ask him if he's proud of me.

If I ran Native World's website I would use broken javascript on a bright red background with a lot of "UNDER CONSTRUCTION" animated .gifs of lil stick dudes in hard hats and include links to my Five Nights at Freddy's fanfiction.

If I were Young Wicked I'd put on a skimpy red dress and insist you call me Miss Diana Ross Garcia and I would be fucking fabulous

If I were JJ I'd rock a forhead tat that says "MR. CUNT" in big block letters

If I was Vampiro I would insist that you smell me.

If I was that one fresh dancing clown I'd actually be a real chill down to Earth kind of guy and you wouldn't suspect for a moment that I like to drink my own pee.

If I was Lex the Hex Master I'd bust out sick-ass tricks on my BMX Bike and try to kiss all the cute lil babies.

If I was Jumpsteady I'd get Vinnie Paz pregnant somehow.

If I was Big Hoodoo I'd insist you go ham on my butt in a rawdog line.

If I was in The Scrub Care Unit I would solve every problem I ran across with euthanasia.

If I was DJ Fillin I'd call the cops on my mom cuz she hit me.

If I was Shaggy 2 Dope I'd quit the game and move to the Alaskan wilderness to raise wolfhounds and be grizzled as fuck

If I was the guy that made the Faygo deliveries I would be a hardworking family man whose suspicious of brown people even though my dad came from Trinidad

If I was on Boondox's Street Team I would catch a charge at a truck stop for the nonconsentual licking of a grandma.

If I was Razakel me and Sicktanick would each get a sex change and surprise absolutely no one.

If I was ABK I would keep melted Snickers bars in my pockets at all times and just always smell like shit it's cool tho cuz I still got a big ol dick.

If I was Bonez Dubb I'd go on a solo tour and design my own stage banner using blank canvas and my own poop

If I was Frankie Grimez I'd go ham on Big Hoodoo's butt in a rawdog line.

If I was Kung Fu Vampire I'd rock shows wearing women's undergarments beneath my street clothes and nobody would ever know. It just feels right.

If I was Tom Wood I would be a for-real-no-shit serial killer and never get caught. Nicest guy you will ever meet but you just catch a real bad vibe off of me.

If I was Mad Man Pondo I would be slowly dying from an undiagnosed degenerative brain disorder and it would be really tragic and sad.

If I was MoonGlorious I'd be a pussy magnet on the dl.

If I was Madchild I'd notice that Big Hoodoo's mouth is still free.

If I was George I couldn't tell anybody that I was a cutter cuz I gotta be strong for the boys.

If I was Necro I'd pull a page from Anal Cunt's playbook and do an album from the perspective of an Islamic Feminist.

If I was Upchuck the Clown I would be more lonely than you could possibly imagine.

If I was Rittz I'd rock a matching beard down on my ballbag and greet groupies with a fresh pair of shades resting on my junk.

If I was ChildsPlayNinja I would moonlight by doing XXX Cam Shows in a luchador mask.

If I was Boondox I would shake the game up entirely and become known as The Michael Flatley of Horrorcore

If I was Lyte I would just be so disgusted by Big Hoodoo right now.

I simply would not give a date for when something is going to be released.  Just let there be speculation.  Even though I wasn't into this music in the 90's (because I was born in 92 and my parents didn't feed me serial killer clown rap in my toddler years), it seems like them not exaggeratingly hyping stuff on the internet worked out well for them.

same with the newsletters, samplers, flyers, hotlines, and whatever else they had out.

I mean like on facebook and stuff like that.  Most recent example aside from march info would be the Into the Echoside and Juggalos Against Sanity expansions.  All kinds of hype with a specific release date, then crickets on the release date and no follow-up.  You had to look for it if you wanted to see it back then.  Or at least listen to 15 seconds of a recording of someone scratching a chalkboard before finding out about it.  They should just say "ABK is working on shapeshifter and it's gonna be epic."  They can exaggerate all they want about a product and I'm still likely to buy it.  I just wouldn't say exactly when to expect it, because it rarely happens when they do that.

If there is one thing that they do well, it's hyping shit up

Whenever J begins his spiels about a new interesting project, I am super psyched, even though I'm old as fuck.

Like a fat kid eatin' pizza about to watch Pay-Per-View.

That's very true.  But then they also release things very quietly that a lot of people would have been really hyped for.  Like the Incredible Collectible Collection.  I think a lot of people would have loved to own a 2 disc compilation of songs that hadn't previously been released on physical media.  I'm going to get my hands on it anyway because I'm a merch guy, but they could capitalize on stuff like that.

I agree to an extent, but they end up rewarding the people who were able to go to the even more than they intend.  Like the guy that I got it from ended up making an additional 25 dollars off of me because he was able to get that week off work and I was not, and ICP still only made their 15 bucks from the guy who actually bought it.

I'd be down for a super limited release that they do online so that it's fair game to everybody.  Like it was available to everybody even for a short time, and you just had to have a fast finger to get it.  They could just put it on the site and not mention it on their social media.  Not as much of a fan of you literally can't get it unless you know somebody who was there or you bought it off of an ebay scalper.  That gets expensive, lol.

so i had an idea a while ago, that was a combination of a few different things other artists were doing. Read the sources after the idea if you want.

Amanda Palmer does what she calls ninja shows. She doesn't do them often, but what she'll do is decide one day when she has time to pick a spot in whatever city she happens to be in, a park or something, a cross street that's easy to find. And she'll tweet the address or location and a time. The time will usually be like within an hour or two.

When that time comes, she'll perform some songs on her uke and pass around a hat for pay what you want admission to her ninja show.

DJ Paul did a slightly different version of this. When his son was looking for a college to go to, DJ Paul booked house parties at various college frat houses and played them so his son can travel and see the different universities.

And the third final piece of the puzzle for my idea is Tommy Lee Goes To College, a shitty reality show which used the University of Nebraska as it's backdrop. A friend of mine was a student there at the time and she says Tommy Lee came in in the middle of the semester and was just disruptive and awful and all the students resented his presence.

So my idea is a break down of these three thing.

ICP announces a tour. A regular, just typical tour. They hype it up as usual. Give it some special flavor, but otherwise it's basic ICP.

What they don't tell anybody is that on the tour, they'll be doing ninja gigs. They'll call them something else so as to not look like they are dissing majik ninja (or they wont lol) but while on the road, randomly and whenever they have time, they'll find community colleges in the area, pull up in their parking lot, and tweet "hit up SRCC (some random community college)" where they will be doing a free mini set.

Then, at the end of the tour where they do these shows, to enroll in classes at a detroit community college, have it filmed and broadcasted on fuse or some other channel. Not the rude, disrespectful, annoying student that tommy lee was, but authentically in it to win it students. ICP are largely uneducated, but far from stupid. And there are a lot of juggalos in the same boat. Encouraging kids to give community colleges a chance would do so much good for our family.

And our reputation. And their reputation. While still being "lower class" and scrubby.

This wouldn't fix any of the "problems" psychopathic has had lately, but it will create something new and interesting which after 25 years is a rarity.

If you really believed that all lives matter we wouldn't need to say black lives matter
