Awesome, thanks for posting. So I was right about most of my guesses on Mike P but I didn’t factor in Kuma being a possibility. Interesting to see Str8jaket on there but glad they kept his work because his 2 production credits are 2 of the best sounding beats.

Insomnia is my shit at the moment. So fucking good. I think I may be slowly coming around to the higher pitched Violent J.

I really wish he would have re-recorded insomnia. I feel like he had something going there but his delivery is terrible. He sounds like Kanye on Through The Wire but without the wire.

Yeah I thought the same thing first time around. It definitely sounds Idk tinny? Just fucking lean into it, a fat doobie definitely helps. The lyrics are super interesting to me. Its like a more fleshed out Scatter Brain.

Also, this might be the first ICP cd that I really hated the closer for the cd. The ending song sucked.
personally I don’t hate the song itself just think it sounds like shit as far as the mixing/audio quality goes…definitely one of the weaker closing songs they’ve done though

Why haven’t they produced a full cd with Kuma? His shit is so dope. See for me, everything that Devereaux touched, I liked alot. Wretched was by far the highlight of this album. Probably the best song made in this new deck by far.
didn’t he produce the majority or all of The Opaque Brotherhood? I could be wrong but thought that was the case. I agree he’s underutilized.

Yeah all the stuff that I know was produced by Kuma tends to be really cool. One of my absolute favorites that I feel rarely gets talked about is Red Moon Howl. That’s the kind of shit I want to hear more of from ICP.

Agreed. Kuma is a legit professional audio engineer/mixer/producer but i dont think he works full time for Psychopathic he’s more of a freelance guy for them from what i understand. I think if he’d of mixed the album by himself it would’ve sounded a lot better.

I think if this cd was actually professionally mixed and mastered, I would like it alot more. And replace shaggy the airheads beats with mike P or someone better it would’ve been dope.
I like a lot of Shaggy The Airheads beats but yeah some more Kuma and Mike P would’ve been nice. Also remember J on the patreon streams talking about how they had about 4 songs with old Mike E Clark beats that were supposed to be on the album. I hope those songs make it on the EP’s

Can anyone who has a physical copy of the booklet shed any light on who mixed and mastered the album?
I suspect Str8 Jacket mixed and mastered it (based on him being on the palcast after “putting finishing touches” to the album) and he probably did a good job with what he had to work with. If I had to guess, I’d say he had a bunch of different songs, recorded over the period of 12-24 months, in different studios, with different equipment. Possibly some of it was already pre-mixed, Js voice difference/delivery problems and he had to work with all of that to make it sound cohesive and he probably did the best possible job he could.
Someone either deserves a lot of praise for how it turned out or someone deserves to be fired.
