both EP’s aren’t bad but nothing amazing either…and I felt the same way about Shaggy and J’s solo EP’s that came out before FFF even though FFF and Flip ended up blowing me away so I’m not going to assume the album won’t be dope 

only song I really don’t care for on the Lure EP is I’ve Had It Worse…Shaggy IMO does great (especially his Loyalty verse which was fire)…J’s a bit hit or miss and mostly due to his voice…sounds like he’s mumbling some verses and don’t really like that style from him…I need to give the House Party EP some more spins but it seemed pretty solid even though some of the concepts feel like they’re recycled from old song ideas (the Medals song is basically Forever or Best Friend all over again but not as good)

hope they fix the streaming issues soon with Spotify and shit

idk if I’d get my hopes up for the March 5th date to stick…someone posted a picture of the Bedlam ad from these EP’s and it just says “Coming Soon” with no specific date…I imagine if the EP’s release got delayed it probably means the Bedlam album will be further delayed…hope I’m wrong though!  

The book also says clown heads would come out in January so I wouldn’t worry too much about the book. 

Release dates are a social construct though so you know don’t hold your breath.

Man I’m listening to this the third time now, and I think it’s dope. Wayyyy better than I thought it might be. Really dope.

And Miklo, wtf, where did you get your impression from? All places I’ve been, youtube and facebook and so on, almost everybody seems to like or love the record, or did I get something wrong?

edit: I wasnt a fan of Ding Ding Doll at first, but somehow it fits into this EP well.

Bewitching-Beat is boring and sets no sort of dark atmosphere for J’s description of yum yum which is as uninteresting as the beat. Shaggy screaming off beat is jarring and annoying. 

Loyalty-Track is kind of cool. Not exactly wicked shit but uh thanks for the moral lecture on loyalty and what not.

Clownheads-I dig this track. Cool little tie in to selling some paintings. Bizarre concept. Catchy track.

I’ve had it worse-This track is cool and they ride this beat smoothly. Can’t stand Shaggy yelling about “Crying pussy hole!” Or whatever the fuck. Always loved his psycho rants on other records but it doesn’t really work these days. I dig the little backset part where he’s like “now get that fucking fool out my face!” though.

Candyman-What the fuck are they talking about? Fuck this song, so dumb.

Afraid of Life-Horrible!!! Fuck off

Ding ding-Kind of cool. In no hurry to hear again.
