Hey fam, good luck with raising the money. I hope you reach your goal. I can't help you out financially but I wanna say there are options out there if you are strapped for cash. Enroll in video production classes at a local community college and they'll usually have equipment you can borrow and programs you can use, and they'll even teach you how to use them. You ain't even gotta sign up for the bullshit ass math and history shit. Just take the video classes.

Also, you can buy tripods and little adapters for your cellphone. If you have a decent enough phone you can film a short movie on that fairly easy. There's even apps you can buy for like $5 to edit on. If you have an iphone I think theres even free ones. But learning Premiere would do you wonders.

How is it closed minded to have a preference for classes? It's cool if you're into math or you wanna do something that requires math. I just meant if he wants to use the equipment at a community college he doesn't need to take classes he doesn't like. Math is hell for me and no one except math majors need to know how to graph a parabola, or what negative exponents do, or what -i^45th is. We have computers and shit for that. Unless you wanna be get into higher level math, the math at the community college level is useless. History can be interesting but again it's mostly entry level stuff at the jc level and unfortunately that means hearing all our biased propaganda that we've heard since grade school. It's better when you get to specialize or dig deeper, do your own research, etc., and really learn about history. You learn a lot more about humanity with anthropology and sociology etc, unless you're digging deep. 

But all that is moot since the point was simply that he could take the film classes to get access to equipment without having to try to graduate.
