I’m also glad he’s gone. I really didn’t care for him from the get go. Everytime something didn’t go his way, he always had to leave, scripted or not. It was annoying. He couldn’t break Taker’s streak, so he gives a melancholic farewell to Paul Heyman the next night on RAW, etc. And as for wrestling while in pain, that’s part of the package. Alot of wrestlers still perform when in pain, if Punk couldn’t handle that, well, then he couldn’t handle that.
What really gets to me is the CM Punk chants. I mean clearly, this isn’t some obscure story angle, he really isn’t coming back. Why do you chant for someone who you know is done?

Did anyone listen to the podcast?
Yes, i did. I just didn’t comment because i’ve been a big CM Punk since his MLW days. So, i figured i would probably just come off as a fanboy.
It wouldn’t surprise me if what he is saying is mostly true, but i doubt we will ever hear the other side of the story…VKM will be on Stone Cold’s podcast this Monday after RAW. Although i do not see him saying anything. Punk will also be on the next AOW podcast.

I like CM Punk. First I saw him was ROH. Didn’t really follow much of the “extreme” indies, like CZW. That shit is just backyard wrestling and I haven’t gotten off on that kind of violence lately. I liked it in my teens, but not now.
After ECW and some late 90’s WWF i could care less for the overly extreme wrestling.

It did seem like WWE didn’t want him to be the top star (probably because he conflicted with their corporate needs with be a star and mattel toys),
Punk pretty much said this in that DVD that WWE put out on him. No one wanted to push him, and when they did, they had no clue how to use him.

Okay, so after hearing the whole broadcast, I gotta say that some of the shit WWE did wasn’t right. I mean, you fired Punk on his wedding day? That’s really fucked up IMO, especially after Punk told Vince and HHH he was unhappy and done, and Vince hugs and gets all teary eyed and shit. I think Punk was right about that being calculated. Cold shit.
What I didn’t like was the shots at Ryback. I’m not a fan particularly of his, but calling him a “Steroid Guy” was a little childish on Punk’s part. And complaining about his injuries… every wrestler wrestles with pain and injuries. So that to me is just crybaby shit. I’m not a wrestler, but I know enough about it to know that that life takes a huge toll on your body, Undertaker is like 49 and he looks much much older than that. So boo hoo on the injuries talk. He knew the risks when he got into that business.
WWE shouldn’t have dicked him around on his royalties though. Again, that’s just unprofessional on WWE’s part. Then the whole thing about the 2k15 game… I just think everyone is in the wrong here. Punk is obviously an obnoxious and arrogant guy, WWE is obviously a stressful work environment that isn’t always fair to their employees.
