Other than the NWO, what drew anyone to watching WCW?
the clowns.
i never much was a fan of hogan, either.
in fact, i followed the regional feds, the ones i could watch, as much or more than wwf. the various initialisms are hard to remember, they were always like WALWF-MWW n shit.
definitely never had the hogan buddy thing, but i do remember having some of the he-man style wwf action figures.
bet those are worth some money now.
awfully paranoid, arent you?

Those toys aren’t actually worth all that much. You’d think they were, but last time I checked on eBay they were pretty inexpensive. ICP did draw some fans to WCW, me being one of them, but I just tuned in for their matches, then quickly tuned out. I do remember seeing Shaggy get power bombed on the top of a school bus though, then falling onto the ground and breaking his neck. That was pretty cool.

Just like many of the hall of fame inductees, his sudden love for WWE was a joke though.
No, it is not a joke, just a business decision. You can not bite the hand that feeds you.

Not to mention WWE’s revisionist history as of late when it comes to him and his character.
Once again a business decision. You can not make money off of a character if you are currently shit talking him.

I love HHH’s “Icon and friend” tweet. HHH was prominently featured in The Self Destruction video, saying Warrior was the worst person he ever worked with in his wrestling career. Now all of the sudden he’s a friend.
What else did you expect him to say? It’s called being respectful.

His daughters and wife will want that money.
They probably will. At least they will have some support coming in.

Glad Sting is out of TNA though, as it’s always been garbage (especially since Hogan came and went). It’s no wonder WWE has no fear of TNA; even with old WWE wrestlers, TNA has a shit product. They have no idea how to utilize talent. Should have locked down Paul Heyman when they had the chance.
TNA was not always shit. There early days were very good. It is only when they tried to compete against WWE when their product started becoming crap. As much as i like Paul Heyman i doubt even he could help TNA. Plus he is not that great anyways lets not forget how ECW ended.

I had a few friends that liked WCW, but I tried watching their programming once or twice and immidiately realized it was garbage. Very similar to what TNA offers. Other than the NWO, what drew anyone to watching WCW?
Once again WCW was not always garbage only towards the last few years. They had a lot of stuff to get people watching, Cruiserweights, Tag Team division, Four horseman, Sting pre and post crow gimmick, AS Scruffy said ICP, plus countless other things. They had a lot of stuff that drew people in.

If you watch Youshoot: ICP you will find out Shaggy actually did not break his neck when he fell. It was already broken beforehand.

Ultimate Warrior He Looked Very Sick and In Pain
Ultimate Warrior looked like he was on the verge of a medical catastrophe all weekend — sweaty and stressed, like he was about to “burst at the seams” … eyewitnesses tell TMZ.
According to sources who were with Warrior this past weekend, the WWE legend looked like he was in constant pain … sweaty and looked very uncomfortable, like he was choking on his tie. It was apparent to everyone … something was seriously off.
Another warning sign — when Warrior did his signature rope shake after his big speech on Monday Night Raw, he looked weak … and people around him noticed.
One eyewitness put it this way … “We all felt like he looked like he was going to blow a gasket. It was pretty easy to see.”
It makes Warrior’s speech on Monday Night Raw even more ominous … “Every man’s heart one day beats its final beat. His lungs breathe a final breath.” 24 hours later he was dead.
TMZ broke the story … Warrior was walking in a Scottsdale hotel Tuesday when he grabbed his chest and collapsed.

So did he break it when it got hit on the bus, and then damaged it more beforehand? Was he seriously injured in that video?

The Ultimate Warrior was my favorite wrestler when I was kid, this truly sucks man. Wrestlemania 6 was the shit back in the day when he beat Hulk Hogan. Which one died though? If you look back over time there were certain times when The Ultimate Warrior would go away for a little while and then come back, and dude would be smaller than he used to be. There were at least 2 of them, probably more. How does it work out that The Ultimate Warrior is dead and crackhead Jake the snake Roberts is still alive?

Ultimate Warrior Suffered Fatal Heart Attack … Autopsy Shows
Officials tell TMZ … the official cause of death for Warrior — real name James Hellwig — was determined to be “Atherosclerotic/Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease” … aka heart disease.
Officials classified Warrior’s death as “natural” — meaning neither drugs nor alcohol were directly involved.
As we previously reported, Warrior clutched his chest outside of an Arizona hotel on April 8 while walking with his wife. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but never regained consciousness.
Warrior was 54 years old.

not sayin it isnt true, but when they make it a point to mention arteriosclerosis, and the cod is ‘natural’… lets just say that coroners usually know when its better to be vague.
if thats even coming from the coroner. usually they arent quoted as ‘officials’.
used to be, the classic dodge was ‘death from heart failure’. since, you see, that is the cause of almost every death.
theyve wisely gotten away from that one, it doesnt stand up too well to investigation.
awfully paranoid, arent you?
