i understand where your coming from lucem, i really do. and i have always been a huge tech fan (see me vs ill on virtually every forum post we have posted in together lol), but his music has lost that spark for me. personaly i dont feel his beat selection as much anymore and his lyrical style is mega talented but it just sounds like he is doing the same little things on every song, which i hate.

I know i tend to blanket label everything, but the reality is i actually like some mainstream music(i say music because i dont just liten to rap you know) and hell i even can tolerate a few lil wayne songs from time to time. and on the opposite end of the spectrum there is some really well made underground shit i cannot stand (boondox) even though i can recognize how much talent they have.

I have nothing wrong with tech being prideful, thats cool. thats his schtick. but it gets stale over time. and his pride is overtaking the humbleness that i always found to be his greatest trait. yeah he always did bragging songs, but i always felt there was an underlying streak of humle going through there.

I would honestly not be suprised if he started talking a gang of shit on rappers he didnt like soon. at that point i think i would stop  listening all together.

And the difference between me and tech n9ne being prideful? i have no-one trying to emulate me. if i actlike a douchebag, kids arent going to say shit thats novocaine, lets be like him. Tech has people like that. I think all people in the limelight should act like civilised humans, its not about us as fans and individuals, its about the kids. WHAT ABOUT THE KIDS MAN.

I loathe the impossible life that rappers brag about, it is destroying the way our youth think, that itws easy to get all this fancy shit without work. i know tech talks incessantly about how hard he works, but do you honestly believe kids are going to keep hearing that message if his music takes on more braggadocio?

I think it's the parent's responsibility to raise the kid, not Tech N9ne's. I'm very anti putting the weight on the celebrities' shoulders to raise a community. They are not gods to worship and idolize, they are people like me or you, they fuck up and they can never be perfect. Plus, if the kids are ignoring the part where he says he worked hard to get where he's at, which is a huge part, then it proves that kids are going to be lazy douche bags regardless. Actually I think history proves that people will be lazy, selfish, moronic douche bags no matter what. It's just a people thing. He shouldn't have to give up his artistic freedoms, or even his freedoms in general, because stupid people play monkey see monkey do.

I also don't think taking pride in yourself makes you a douche bag. Now spitting on people and telling everybody they are lower than you makes you a douche bag, but just saying "I'm one of the greatest" does not make you a douche bag unless you actually suck.

The difference is, you and your pride is admirable. You have an ego but you aren't waving your dick in everybody's face about it, it's how I see Tech.

Going to far is being like Warlock where you have an undeserved sense of pride when getting nothing accomplished and you shit on anybody else for even having a different opinion.

Either way, if you just aren't feeling it anymore than I guess there is nothing to be done. I personally feel a lot of humbleness in his Dyin' Flyin' song. It's like a mix his pride screaming "WHY THE FUCK AREN'T THEY FEELIN' MY MUSIC ANYMORE!!!" and his humble side saying, "Oh no, they aren't feeling my music anymore!".

Also, this is what happened to Kanye West. His mother died and that's when his music starting getting a bit more experimental and he seemed to go more and more out of it. There is no real point here, just an observation.

Unless you're somebody who likes that type of music.

I liked that song. It was a good return for the clowns.

Tech is really becoming stale and boring. I wish he would take time to make 1 great album then release 20 filler songs every 3 months. He is just rappin to hear himself talk now.
