Personal accomplishments like not falling into a drug habit, getting over heights, climbing a cliff, not ending up in a bad way like certain family members, getting a college degree. I'm proud of what I have been able to do. Next up visiting Australia, New Zealand or Germany.

oh, they were cool for a little while, but they mean squat today.

i bought my first house the day i turned 18 and paid it off in 6 years.after i left school i worked 7 days a week without fail for 6 years, no holidays, no friends nothing. just work. i helped support my family until my mum got her shit together. at my worst i was working 4 different jobs and selling weed when i could get my hands on. in the past 10 years i probably have donated 200k to various charities, so dont fucking preach to me.

i was in your position, he difference is i chose to get up out of the gutter and do something about it. im successful because i worked hard, so dont tell me to fuck my money because you aint got shit.

what do you want for that, a junior g-man badge?

calm down, captain capitalism.  it aint as simple as that for us, just cuz it was for you.

id be more impressed if you found your money in a taxi cab.

i measure myself by scalps taken.  most of the other achievements dont seem to mean much.

i never claimed it was simple. just dont piss away money on drugs/drink/smokes and work hard, thats the moral. yeah i got lucky with some of my properties but that was through smart money management i got from reading books at the library about money management. money doesnt measure your success but it allows you to live a more relaxed life.

i worked for my life, and now i can enjoy the rest of it. i dont have a fancy car, i live in a simple 4 bedroom house its not worth a huge amount of money, i retired about a 2 years ago and went back to work about 9 months ago cause i got bored of living the 'retired' life.

life is hard, but if you sit around talking about how hard your life is youll never make it easy.

agreed.

but then, people do get fucked over by fate, you dont just 'do right' and then get what you want.

if that was true, we would all be benevolant rich people.  we arent.

i think a person should be measured by their ability to adapt to a situation.

yeah life might fuck you over, but you have to roll with it, because if you dont noone is gunna help you out.

i've been in countless shitty situations, like my car catching fire in the middle of the nullabor (500$ hootpies ftw!) no phone, no money and only the clothes on my back, about 100km from anywhere.

you just gotta take what you can and roll with it.

And I've spent the last 6 years posted at different locations going everyday with new applications to get a job. Everyday bothering anybody who can hire me to the point where the people know my name and know what I'm there for. I've worked harder just to find a job than I actually have at a job. I worked my ass off just to get into college after being thrown on the street and ripped out of school and had to drop out because I found out that there is no way I will ever be able to pay for an education. I don't take loans because I don't want to owe money for the rest of my life and Federal funding is only going to take you so far, only if your parents are willing to give up their tax information which neither of mine are willing to do. My parents are not poor, yet I have lived with literally only 1 pair of pants and 3 pairs of shirts since I was 14. I have grown with very little even though my parents have the capability of providing better for me. If I could have gotten a job at an age younger than 15, since you know, there are fucking child labor laws that have been around since 1892 banning children under the age of 15 from working, I would have gotten a job. Not to feed my family, no, to feed my self because fuck a family that turns it's back on you. I mean, it's fucked up that my parents have the capability of affording so much shit, yet when it comes to putting clothing on my back they have nothing.

First off dude, there have been child labor laws banning people under the age of 15 from working since 1892. The only way you would have had a job like that is if it were a family owned business in which case you probably wouldn't have been paid if you were struggling that bad.

If you were that fucking broke how do you pay for a house when you turn 18. Especially if you were in school, since I assume you went to college. Even then, you'd have to have had made a lot of fucking money to pay for both a house and college. I'm pretty sure that to get a good job that pays that much money you need college experience. Knowing what I know about child labor laws and how much school costs and how many people do work their asses off just for a simple college education I call bullshit on that.

My point was that implying that broke people are "bottom feeders" or that your money makes you a better man is what pissed me off. I still say fuck your money. You don't know what it's like to be in my shoes, and you saying that it's my choice to stay in the gutter is a fucking laugh. If it really was a matter of people just needing to get off their asses and work for it then every mother fucker that I know who works their ass off, me included, would be in a much better place than I am.

you need to realize that the majority doesnt have it like that.  and never will.

you lucked out, congrats.  just dont give me a story, and then say im fuckin up because im not paid.

anyway, enough about your money.  for real.

I first off call bullshit on anybody who said they had to support a family since they were 12.

Second off, this was me getting pissed off because you acted as though your money made you better than me. I do work my ass off, I actually hate the broke place I grew up because so many people hate you just for trying only because they refuse to try themselves. People are dealt with bad fucking hands, and even if that story, that I highly doubt, is true that hard work still is accompanied by luck. I see it, I'm not the only one in my situation, and I definitely don't have it the worst, so I know just how hard people work to try for what you have just to fail.

The only way you would have had a job like that is if it were a family owned business in which case you probably wouldn't have been paid if you were struggling that bad. - no it was a friends parents business, it was a cash job and they needed the help. yeah we have child labor laws in australia too, but i wasnt on the books and they were paying me 4 bucks an hour for my work.

If you were that fucking broke how do you pay for a house when you turn 18. - Any penny i had spare from helping with my fam, i saved. i never spent a single cent i didnt have too. my first house cost me 55 grand and i walked into the bank with my boss as my backing and 7500 in cash and they gave me a loan.

specially if you were in school, since I assume you went to college. - i barely graduated high school. i never went to college/uni/tafe, everything i know is self taught, i read books in my spare time at the public library. i worked my ass off doing everything from running books for small business to flipping burgers on the midnight shift at maccas. i was given a good job now, because i can show i know how to work numbers, and i understood the industry i am working in now. i can be an energetic charismatic person when i want, which helps cover up the fact i dont have any formal training.

- want some advice, save a 50 bucks, and take it buy some clean clothes froma thrift store and a lawnmower out of the wanted adds in the paper, mow a motherfuckers lawn for 10 bucks. no offense but if you got 1 pair of pants and 3 t shirts, its a wonder no one is hiring you. you gotta dress smart, look the part. if you came through to ask a job from me wearing some old stanky t shirt and scummy pants and scuffed up shoes i would probably laugh you out of the building. not because i think im better then you, but because if you cant show the common decency to show up to my work place in suitable attire then how do i know your serious about working for me?

you can say fuck my money all you want. i been in a situation like yours, but i got out there and busted my ass to fix it.

i aint any better then you, i bleed red and shit brown. i just chose different things. hell goto swap meets  (dnno what you call em in usa)  buy cheap barbie dolls and sell em on ebay or something. theres alot of money to be had in that.

if something isnt working for you change and adapt.

helping more then supporting.

i'm sorry if i gave off that impression dude.

One thing i tried to when i was on the hunt for new work, i offered to work for for free for a week to show i was a quick learner and i was dedicated to the job.

i did get lucky with my first house, i bought it super cheap and fixed it up by myself, poured about 15 grand into it over 3 years and sold it a year after i finished paying it off for 140 grand. it only takes one lucky strike dude, and then your in.

if you need help with interview tips or anything like that, hit me up in pm and id be happy to help you out.

I didn't know you from austrailia, so I don't know laws there.

Sorry, but I call anybody out who claims they had job at any age under 14. Just knowing that it's rare for anybody to get a job under the age of 16 in the USA.

Economy is probably much different there than here as well.

I have got the job interviews down and I actually hopefully will have a job with in the next few weeks, all because of my persistence. I over exaggerated, I've only been signing applications and hoping for phone calls for 6 years, only started going to there every day in the last few months because somebody gave me the advice which is working. I mean, most people, even in this fucked up economy, only sign and hope, I go there and demand a job every day. Fuck, Game Stop told me they weren't hiring at all. The next week after being there everyday they said they'd be hiring in September, now they say they will be hiring next week. Best advice at getting a job is annoying them until they tell you no or until they hire you. That's assuming that this technique actually works for me.

Either way, I apologize but feeling like nothing because I don't have much and times being rough gets to you. I actually rarely bitch about my personal life, I've been told many times that I'm not vocal enough about my problems and my response is that I don't like bothering people with my problems because everybody goes threw shit. And I know that tons of people I see that live in the gutter only live there because they put themselves there and refuse to try to get out so I refuse to become another person who traps them self in "the loop" as I call it. Those same people that don't try are always the first ones to bring you down and spit on you for trying. I don't know, I'll get through it, or die trying.

Sorry for calling you out, but I wasn't calling you nor iLL people who didn't earn shit, just don't like it when people imply their money makes them better. Even though I do say that people who do work their ass off to earn money are entitled to brag about it. Just have had a complete bipolar mood swing into pure hate mode.

/hugs and daps for lucem

its all good fam. i hope it goes well for you bro.

i think back then (like 15 years ago) things were a lot different. its easy as hell to get work in Perth atm, everyone is making there cash in the mines pulling 150k a year with no trade.

have you ever considered joining the army or navy or something like that? i dunno if that's an option for you, but i reccomend people who struggle looking for work join the army because its a good discipline trainer and well its a job. i know those douche recruiters are always pushing for people join join n shit.

No. they aren't. It's called humility....And let it be known  that no matter how good someone is doing it can be stripped away at any moment. A lot of these times it's because of circumstances beyond our control. Yes you have to play the hand your dealt, but you can't turn aces and eights into a royal flush. I'm floating down that river right now.

I had been doing good these past four years, now not so much...You know what? I don't feel any different now than I did when I was gettin' paid well

That's true. People who were once making tons of money have drastically down graded do to times changing and businesses going under.
