Out today.  My first reaction, I mean it's decent and worth listening to like everything Ces Cru put out but not really what I was hoping for.  It sounds a little too much like they're getting away from their strengths (i.e. ripping shit up and setting it on fire) and trying to show their versatility.  I'll definitely give it a chance to grow on me though.

I personally love when they switch back and forth and work off of one another, which I feel they didn't do as much on this album. Also, all of the beats after the first half of the album sound very similar and kind of boring.

I've only heard the first half so far. I like it a lot. The only thing that pisses me off is that the physical album is only 15 tracks instead of 18. I hate iTunes bonus tracks. Just make the album longer

Seriously! Don't they get less money from iTunes sales than from the webstore?

They know the die hards are going to want the physical cd, so they put the bonus tracks on the itunes version in hopes the die hards buy both.Lots of artists use that sales tactic nowadays.

That's one thing I respected KMK for, they had all sorts of bonus tracks with fye or iTunes or Best Buy, but Long Live the Kings, if purchased from their web-store, had all of them.

I was afraid of this... The hype train was, like, nonexistent for this album. Sometimes that's a good thing, but sometimes is simply indicates an inferior product.

I'll still be buying it, if only to support Ubiquitous and Godemis... But I'm not expecting much. Can't even be considered a sophomore slump, considering they had the EP before Constant Energy Struggles. Bah.

Thus far my favorite tracks from Codename: Ego Stripper are Sound Byte and Que Lastima. They need some more Lenny D-Stroy beats! And this is coming from a dude who LOVES Seven's music. I just feel like he didn't come correct on this album.

I WILL admit though, the more I listen to this album, the more I like it. It's just with Constant Energy Struggles I had songs that I absolutely loved right out the gate.

Also, @entrappedmind they have a lot of stuff BEFORE the EP too, The Playground is great! I haven't heard Capturing Enemy Soldiers or any of the other stuff though...

capturing enemy soldiers I just can't get into.Just sounds bland and boring.Strange is where it is at for them.Click clack bang another good one.I agree, most songs on constant were better and stuck out, while this one doesn't have the bangers like Constant, but I think its better consistently. On constant I skip  a lot of songs like "skip" to my loo or whatever, fuckin sux .New shit I haven't disliked any songs.

I was reading their bio on their website, and they said when sorceress left they had to make up for her leaving and so their style changed a bit and they became more "fluid." Which is exactly what I love about them. The Playground is fire.

Thought it was pretty dope, defiantly not on the same level as Constant Energy Struggles in my opinion. Power Play really impressed me and that chorus fucking kills and Sound Bite sounded like it would have fit on the 13 EP perfectly.

Overall there were only a few (maybe 2 - 4) tracks off the album I didn't like. The rest weren't bad but I agree, I expected a much more aggressive overtone to their lyrics and delivery. Definitely far from horrible.

Wow I disagree and believe code name is the superior product. Don't get me wrong I love constant. I think given time more people will start to agree. I'm still hoping they release physical copies of the playground

Exactly, they work together much better on playground plus the production is much better for them. I respect the fact that they aren't just repeating the same sound but I think they've been going in the wrong direction since then while still putting out some good shit. Coulda been great though I hope they get it back
