uh…i must of missed something cause this song/album/group is easily some of the best shit out and strange is responsible for the majority of dope hiphop from 2013 (mayday, wrekonize, rittz, ces cru, kaliko, tech…all 100%)

Tech, Kutt, Stevie, BLH and Rittz are on the only Strange artists puting out anything good. Something Else was decent. Theres alot of dope hip hop out there from this year. Theres more than just Strange out there.

Im not talking about just independent music. Thats lots of good hip hop out this year. Im not a Strange dick rider, so to me not every Strange artist and album is the greatest i Ever heard. Seems like every albums this year is always the artists best album ever.

Yeah ¡MAYDAY! all the way. That shit is swell. I’m no Strange dick rider either, believe that. For one, I never much dug Prozak. I only like about 50% of Tech’s tracks if I were to really be honest. Krizz is great but only in spurts. BLH is consistently good. Stevie is solid. Etc etc… never heard much Rittz or Ces Cru but plan to. I know there is more hip hop out there. So do the rest of us. Strange just seems to be a very consistent label for quality.
As for Mayday, “Believers” comes nowhere close to “TMTYL”. That album is about perfect. I own their non Strange albums and they’re very good as well. Its like early NERD but better IMO. So I’m on no label’s dick because I enjoy most of what they put out.

mayday is the shit…they have gotten better with their strange music releases for sure…love the new album…might not be for everyone but anybody with 2 ear holes can tell that they are badass musicians..everything that strange has put out lately has been dope…im just not a fan of stone or kutt all that much..I think some of the problem is why juggalos dont like mayday is because they are stuck in a box and only want to hear hard beats and wicked lyrics…hell I love that shit too but I also like a shit ton of different genres of music…and mayday can appeal to just about anyone with an open mind to music.

Precisely! Its frustrating, like when I try to turn on people to groups like Mayday, Rehab, K-OS, they’re like “nah, only Gordy n Necro for me” or “Tupac n Biggie”. I like them too, but damn at leastaacknowledge that you discern TALENT coming from the speakers. MUSICIANSHIP, VERSATILITY, RANGE, RELATABLE TOPICS MADE INTO ENJOYABLE SOUNDS BLEEP BLOOP BLEEP BEEP! hahaha.. I’m saying dudes like Wreck, Danny Boone and K-OS can flow AND sing a versebetter than many. Sing about the economy, drug use and abuse/addiction, good times and bad, love, hate, party jams, tripped out tracks, all with A REAL BAND back there. What else ya need?? Not saying Mayday has bad flows or lyrics. I just dont like their production. I dont care if the beats are hard or soft. Ive been listening to rap/hip hop since the gangsta era(early 90’s golden era). So, therefor I like ar variety. That may be why I like Kutt and Stevie a lot. They have more of that real hip hop sound and feel.

That’s completely understandable. Actually the production is where Tech n Krizz lose me oftentimes. I love chopping and hype beats, but the music just sounds too chaotic to enjoy in places. Beats are overly complex or have the feel of unbalance. It becomes dull. But I feel Mayday usually overcomes this Strange fault…
Yes I’m also a 90’s hip hop head. Not much better than Geto Boys, Dre, Outkast, Ice Cube, Lords of the Underground, KRS-ONE, Canibus,
