Not really, there is not a lot of news worthy stuff to be posted. News in general is slow. Most artists are either getting set for that GOTJ, making albums or making plans for tours later in the year.
Where is this same question of the news post when it’s say 5 Tech N9ne or Twiztid articles? It’s funny that most of the complaining comes out when a few Madchild or Swollen Members post are made.
But i’ll restate this. We were waiting for more then just a twitter about Tech N9ne’s mom passing away. Once we received more information and confirmation a post went up.

Shit I knew a dude in my hometown that everyone said was dead and our group found out like eight months later than he was still fuckng alive lol! Unfortunately he died about three years ago for real, but that’s beyond the point. I don’t give a shit about Madchild either, or AMB’s five city tour of a couple Midwest juice bars etc. Just as I’m sure no one but my wife and I gave a shit when we posted about our first kid being born on here. To each their own. I like to read about certain underground artists like Dayton Family and Necro, but won’t even give most JCW or KFV articles a second glance.
Yeah good comment. I agree with you totally . Just sorta looks like a movement is being pushed/promoted. But whatever, it is what it is.

Twiztid yes. I personally see Tech in the same general category with MC and SW.

RIP to Tech N9ne’s Mom. As someone who has lost a parent, i know how shitty he must be feeling.

The news always seemed balanced to me. It’s just when someone is doing a lot, they get more posts. Like, what do you want them to say? “…and ICP is still working on the gathering, we believe.”
Nothing pisses me off more than death posts as soon as someone dies. For a few reasons:
1. It just comes off tacky, like you want to be the one to tell everyone about it, for whatever sick reason.
2. You didn’t fact check, you heard it, you spread it.
3. You don’t know how those close to the deceased are coping yet. Maybe Tech wanted to do something himself and publish it? Maybe not, but still…
I remember I was working at CNN during Michael Jackson’s death. I remember TMZ was like… since 2 in the afternoon “MICHAEL JACKSON IS DEAD! HE’S DEAD! BAH GAWD! MICHAEL JACKSON IS DEAD!!!!” and CNN waited until they got official word. I’ll never forget the producer there (who will have no name, because I still work in “the biz”) said, “From this point on, put it on the screen, apologize later if need be.” Like, it was just so cold and grotesque.
Anyway, I took nyquil and have a summer cold. So I’m ranting.
I think FLH did it right. Not ass kissing here, either.
Exactly, man.
On one hand, yes the death of Tech’s mother is much bigger (to me at least) than Mad Child trying to raid my fridge.
On the other hand it probably sucks to be reminded constantly of the death of a loved one.

It is with a heavy heart that we write to all of you Technicians today regarding the passing of Tech’s mother. We all know what a guiding light and inspiration she was, and will remain, to Tech and she will truly be missed.
We appreciate everyone who has reached out to Tech and to Strange Music offering words of condolence during this difficult time. Your love and support, as fans and friends, is above and beyond what anyone could ever ask for.
There will be a private, closed service for Mrs. Yates and we ask that you respect Tech’s need for privacy during this delicate and sensitive time.
