Listened to Rittz’s new one all week and was surprisingly a bit let down. This is a very solid record, but falls short at being on the same level as Top of the Line or Next to Nothing. He said he was going all out for this last one with Strange and while the lyricism is definitely strong, most of the tracks come off ass bland.
Along with that, Seven’s work wasn’t his best IMO. That really surprised me.
There were a few standout tracks: Indestructible, Shooting Star, Different Breed come to mind.
Imma keep spinning the record as more songs will probably grow on me. What do yall think about the album? Also, what do you think is next for Rittz?
My thoughts are he’s either gonna put out music completely on his own (not necessarily signing other artists in the process) or… I don’t think it would be too far fetched for Eminem to scoop him up.

Man that’s exactly what I thought too. This album was not nearly as strong as the last 3 on Strange. To me it was a lot of slower RnB singy type shit, softer. But yeah 3-4 bangers, with mostly bland skip filler. Like those songs you listen to once the first time around and then always skip when they come on again……..yeah a lot of those songs.
This will be the 1st Rittz album I’m not going to buy, I just streamed it on my Amazon Prime music account.
Kinda let down……. 6.5 / 10
Dude, Rittz on Shady! I’m down with that, he’d get good promotion too on Shade45
Edit: “Imma keep spinning the record as more songs will probably grow on me”………yes this too.

I finally got a chance to sit and spin this one a few times. I don’t understand how he has time to write this many good lyrics in such a short time. It’s over 90 minutes long if you get all of the songs, and most of it is fast and lyrical with no holes or awkward phrasing. And he does it in just under a year each time and it’s always good.
That being said, it doesn’t top Jonny Valiant (my favorite Rittz record), but it’s still a good 8.5/10 from me.
