So my first Strange Music show was Strange Days in 2010, I was so hype to see Prozak, and Brotha Lynch. That's also the only time i've seen kaliko do a solo set, with irv da phenom as his hypeman and they killed it. BLH didn't come on until Tech performed for an hour. Tech sat on this throne thing, it spun around and turned blue and Lynch came out and MURDERED SHIT. Then all of strange finished the show off with a collab set. It was super dope..

Went to GOTJ 2011... Tech did the same set except a couple choruses from KOD...

GOTJ 2012... Tech did the same set except one or two songs.. and brought mayday out for the noose.

Independent Powerhouse 2013. Went to see BLH who absolutely killed it. Rittz put on one of the worst shows i've ever seen.. He performed at gotj last year and killed it tho maybe he just had a bad night. anyway.. Tech did the same set adding in some kaliko songs. Didn't hit GOTJ that year..

GOTJ 2014... Same ol tech set

GOTJ 2015.. Same ol shit, left to go to the store about 3/4ths through his set.

I really hope he doesn't fucking deadline again this year.. Really tired of the same ol shit.

KOD and Absolute Power are great. Everything before KOD is atleast good... After that it's crap.. However I just don't get why he has to do almost the exact same set EVERYTIME.

I have the opposite opinion here (a recurring theme between Bostin and myself which I think is actually dope because we are both adults about it and its insightful to the other side of the fence imo).  I go to Tech shows almost every time they come through town even though I've seen or don't care about most of the tour support.  I know that if I pay for a ticket I'm guaranteed a hype Tech set even if the openers bomb...which admittedly doesn't usually happen.

I can't stand Kaliko solo but idk if I saw him with phenom or not...and BLH never translates live well to me except for a couple of his older tracks... As to Prozak I swear he has had exactly the same set for 10 years minus updating a track or two...and its boring as piss at this point.

Ya same thing happened to me about the fifth time I saw Tech live.

I left the show early, after Tech did Einstein, the only song I really like of his.

I just don't ever feel the need to see Tech live again-I'm not against it- but I would never pay to attend a headline show of his again.

To OCJ's point, you can always count on Tech to put in a professional set.

Just felt like Tech was in auto-pilot tour mode, most of the times I saw him.

I guess the nostalgia factor makes me not mind him only playing the same shit...plus its mostly old stuff since we do agree on the fact that everything past KOD was mostly trash (all 6s and 7s excluded) so it has that going for it.  Im also almost always super fucked up by the time he goes on so I may have blinders on.

I'm a fan of tech and most of strange. I like a good percentage of his shit old or new. I've never been to see any of their shit live though.

Lynch is probably my favorite rapper of all time so he could probably come on stage and fart into the microphone and i'd enjoy it. Haha. I've only got to see him on the Strange tours because he stays on the west unless it's that. Both times i've seen him he's been obviously drunk, but a better performer because of it. He let me and my homie rap into his mic in 2013 because we were in the front rapping all his lyrics.

I do agree that I've never seen tech do a BAD set.. It's just redundant at this point, when I do get really excited that he is doing a song i've never seen him do he usually just hypes the chorus then goes into a regular live song.. THAT REALLY PISSES ME OFF.

Ces Cru are awesome live, it's artfully skillful the way they rap in unison.

@ocj_brendan it's all good to have different or opposite opinions man haha. I might go to the strange  tour coming up if my homies go just to chill with people and catch CES CRU, hopefully Rittz will put on a better show than last time I caught him on tour.. It was REALLY BAD.. Maybe he took too many Xanax bars before hand because he did tear up the stage at the gathering this year.

I used to be way more into tech and hadn't seen him live in a few years so I thought he blew the shit up at the gathering. I really wanted to see ho99o9 so I booked it early because I didn't actually know where i was going and it was dark (I got there late and couldn't get a lay of the land until the next day). But I loved his set. It was the best set I'd ever seen from him. Having the live band added so much energy and Alien Warr freaked the shit out of them drums. I laughed when he did his talking bits and he really set the mood for my gathering experience for me as "this isn't a concert but a celebration". He played the few songs of his that I love, and i don't remember him playing any songs I hate.

Like I said though, I ain't seen him in years. He's not a cat that I'm like I HAVE TO SEE THIS DUDE every tour. Or even every other tour. I think the last time I saw him was in 2008.

Seen Tech once. Was really good. That's it. Tried to see Mayday this year but got thrown our during their opening track due to my appearing too drunk. What a rotten way to end the night.

I never was too big into Tech myself. I dig some of his music but I've only caught him at the Gathering.

I got to see Tech a long time ago at the Blue Note in Columbia Missouri. He put on a good show. Although the Blue note is a rather small venue he still gave it all out there and I felt like it was well worth the money and time spent.

Yeah, I like small venues like that. I seem to get more out of them personally.

I have only seen tech at the gathering. He is coming to PA in April and I am gonna go. I am looking forward to the smaller venue atmosphere myself. I'll be able to grab a beer and post up in the back or balcony if they got one and just chill. I wanna see Stevie Stone and Mayday more though but I'm sure its gonna be a good show all the way around.

Small venues are a lot more chill atmosphere wise. I mean large venues are truly amazing but the smaller venues are special in their own rights and I have actually made friends at smaller venues more often then larger ones. They also allow you to enjoy the music even more where as in my experience larger venues are more like a loud giant party where you can miss out on things.

Alien Warr does liven anyone's set up. Seeing him with Jarren Benton was awesome. I'm not sure how much the guitar/bass livened tech's set up.. When he did the Chorus for t9X the guitarist was playing this trippy rift and I had just hit a balloon.. it was awesome... Then he didn't do the fucking song and it pretty much ruined the set for me.. Apparently Alien Warr is going to be touring with Hopsin now tho.
