This song came up in rotation for me just now….it was one of my favorite songs by tech, until an incident occurred while this song was playing and i havent listened to it since (atleast 7 years now).

Anyways looking back on this song, it made me realize something….tech tried soooo fucking hard to keep the juggalos around, and yet they still gave him shit….its no wonder why, when he weighed the pros and cons of us, that he didnt march.

But I started listening to tech n9ne for his dark shit. his killa klown shit. Tormented, sinister tech, psycho bitch, slither, red necro….fuckin’, ALL of KOD pretty much. I don’t hate him for moving away from that kinda shit. I don’t diss him, I ain’t gonna be calling him a sellout or shit. But he moved away from that and started making club hits. How the fuck are you gonna get lil wayne and 2 chainz on your albums and then claim to be underground? that ain’t what I want to hear, so I stopped listening to him.

Tech’s always said “if you don’t like the new shit then go buy the older shit”. I already bought the older shit, and now he’s complaining that people ain’t buying the new shit?

personally; I like three kinds of rap. Horrorcore, I ain’t gotta give ya’ll any examples of that shit. Nerdcore; shit like mc chris, mc frontalot, schaffer the darklord, optimus rhyme, MF doom. and then I like cerebral, ‘alternative rap’ shit. shit that has meaning to it, shit that makes you think or feel something. Like sage francis, eyedea, atmosphere, spose, aesop rock, busdriver, KRS one, watsky….

but tech wants to make clubs hit. he wants a more “mainstream black audience”. and thats cool. I wish him all the success in the world. But he doesn’t make music i like anymore so i don’t buy his music anymore.
