So far everything I've heard from this album sounds like the same poorly composed, last minute thrown together shit that Tech has been coming out with the past few years. This song has zero personality. At best, it just is.

im the opposite. the first 2 were mediocre, hood go crazy was ok and this isnt horrid. i can fux with it. never liked TI but i heard an interview with him recently and he seems like a pretty cool dude. i always thought he was a disney ass rapper. apparently i was wrong.

Looking forward to speedom though, 50 bucks sasys its gunna have an eminem impersonator on it.

Meh... Not good, not bad.

Anghellic has always been the Tech album for me so I really have to stop looking for that in his new releases.

Not bad. It sounds kinda like B.I.T.C.H off of Something Else except that B.I.T.C.H was better

So far the highlight of Special Effects is Aw Yeah. Usually I get annoyed by people saying that Tech's sold out, but with some of this new stuff I get where the're coming from

Ive always fucked with TI but get some shit from the homies about it lol...I like his shit so they can FUCK OFF.  His old stuff especially is tight if you like southern hip hop...he has several tracks with UGK which is how I picked him up in the first place.

i am completely done with tech n9ne honestly

now seeing all the features on this album have just made me completely over it

2 chainz song was horrible

T.I song was boring as fuck

Now we got songs with trap bullshit like lil wayne,yo gotti, audio push .....i just cant even muster up a ounce of support for this

not to mention excision.......to me edm just isnt at all enjoyable

I have no problem with changing as a artist, but tech is not progressing, he really is pushing to become more mainstream and a household name among young "rap" fans who are by and large the most uneducated and musically stupid demographic. This whole "Mainstream Gone Tech" phrase is complete asinine garbage and is only further proof that tech n9ne has the largest contingent of dick riders in hip hop.

He could come out with a track featuring Iggy Azalea and Miley Cyrus and the braindead "Technicians" would just say "fuck yea, industry going strrannggee. Techs a god". I compare the current state of "Technicians" to when alot of juggalos were in the "clown boy" phase. Where everything ICP did was untouchable and above reproach. Most of the older wiser heads have now learned to take it as it comes and while still supporting them able to point out flaws(like the tempest). Yet tech n9ne fans cant do that. The thought that their favorite rapper could be changing for the worse and making completely unlistenable songs is too much for their fragile little psyches to handle. When its pointed out that tech sometimes just devolves into gibberish to get through a verse they say "that just shows how innovative and how creative he is". Anyone who has met tech in the past 5 years can also attest to the fact that on a personal level hes completely changed. The Meet and Greets used to be him hanging out and talking. Now its just him and the other artists standing in line, you walk down the line, he shakes your hand, takes a pic and says hi and then moves you on your own way. Most of the time he isnt even making eye contact, his eyes are hidden behind sunglasses and he is more focused on the preppy piece of rich white girl jailbait thats in line near you.

Also strange's core fanbase has really changed. People claim that juggalos are all white trash, druggies, etc. Every time i see a car with a snake and bat its being driven by some douchey frat boy date rapist, or some rich white girl with daddy issues. Also what i see ALOT at my work, guys who come in with their phones in their hands, playing music, its almost always tech n9ne,and they are rapping along as they walk through the store. 10 out 10 that i see in a month are dorky ass wiggers who are trying desperately to be "thug".

Fuck, man. Seems like you have some rage built up about that shit. I will say though, as I was reading it I kept remembering a comment on this song. Some one said, one of the top comments mind you: You gotta admit this is dope....even if you don't like it.

So I think you might have a point lol

I like every single project Tech has released except for Celsius and Gates Mixed Plate.

But I guess that makes me a brain dead moron.

Or maybe you're a bigot. Can't take the fact that people actually still like Tech.

I also like Mainstream music. People shit talking mainstream these days are just fucking morons. Hip hop these days is so innovative and different and inspired compared to the club era of the mid 2000s and the gangster rap era of the 90s. There's Kanye, Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean, J-Cole, Yelawolf, Slaughter House, Lupe Fiasco and so much more dope shit out there that isn't generic shit like people insist. People are just anti trend riders.

Plus, Tech started out very mainstream sounding. He's always had mainstream sounding songs. He's always made songs that match the sound of the times. So he's not really changing much except for as a human being. I find it astounding how half the people bitch about him changing too much while the other half bitch about him being too repetitive.

The only difference I really see is that he's less edgy and shocking. Not that he isn't edgy and shocking at all anymore, he just has a lot less of that. My only real complaint so far is how lazy and half assed Tech's verse is on this song, though I still love the song.

Bottom line is, Tech's music still blows me away release after release after release. Except for his party songs, his party songs are much much shittier these days than the were in the past. And I'm not full of shit just for liking it, you're full of shit for telling me I shouldn't like it. Whiny bitch. Also, I'd trade you for a hot piece of jail bait any day.

there is definitely some inner rage built up there.

i dont agree that techs new stuff is' unlistenable'. is it on par with his old shit, not even close. if he did a song with iggy azaela (who the fuck is that?) and myley cyrus, i would listen and laugh but that would be about it.

I can understand the meet and greet thing regardless of how much it sucks, reality is, tech doesn have 5 fans coming to ameet and greet anymore, there is probably like 100 people turning up to meet there heroes.

Tech has always had a huge whiteboy following. when did you miss that? im pretty sure black people are still unsure if he's got a pentagram and is sacrificing chickens in his basement or not. why are you suprised that every tech fan you see is white?

i dont care if tech goes mainstream to be honest. ive lost my' fuck the mainstream yeeeeaaahhh, underground fo lyfe fools' mentality in the few years, now i just like music that i like.i just want him to keep making cool music.

Also, 'speedom' is a fake until i hear it. em has allegdedly pulled out of a collab on EVERY tech album for like 10 years. So seeing is believing in this case.

I love the people who say he is changing too much but staying too repetitive at the same time. love it. awesome, divide by 0 and make your brains assplode.

Also, i disagree heavily with your opinion on the gates mixed plate, i loved that album and think it was one of his strongest collabos albums, which personally i have always thought as very weak phone in albums.

But Celcius, that was completely lackluster and had 1 good track. and i cant even remember what track that was, thats how good it is.

@chris - if tech n9ne, lil wayne, 2 chainz, and ti all had no singles or videos and very low album sales, would that make them okay in your book?

I think he's one of the best lyricists of all time and he's one of my favorite rappers ever, if not my favorite. But Kendrick Lamar has stolen my ears these days. I just started diving into his music and I've never heard beats like that, well, he's like what Odd Future was trying to do but better. Music wise. A lot of it is just so creative.
