Man chief, I thought we were friends. Why u gotta wish knee explosion upon me? And I retain that, were racial roles reverses, Tech would be getting called racist right now. And that double standard shit's gotta go.

All he said was he would like to see more blacks at his show. He didnt say he wanted less whites or only blacks. If I was him I wouldnt really give a fuck, but hes probably feeling guilty or something stupid like that

I understand.  Maybe I was subconsciously feeling offended by Tech's statements, or something.  I dunno, racism is a strange thing.  It's like, buried deep in the brain.

I'm sure a more well read ninja will throw out the technical word for it, but I betcha there's some sort of syndron/logic-fallacy/response/etc. that involved being pissed at someone of a certain race and responding to it by lashing out at that race/individual of that race. A word besides racism/prejudice/bigotry I mean a word that is it's own thing and pertains to an unprejudiced person doing this out of reactionary rage. There's gotta be a word for that

So if a white guy was like "I want more of my people at a show, because it's mostly black people there as is" you don't think black folk at large wouldn't be pissed off at him? He'd get slandered. At least that's how I'd feel.

As a whole people would probably be pissed, but most people these days just want a reason to be outraged. I kinda feel bad for tech his friends probably call him an uncle tom. i know niggas online make fun of him for only havin white fans. I feel he shouldnt let it bother him but i imagine it does.

Look around, people are outraged.

White people are just as outraged at Tech right now as you assume black people would be if the roles were reversed.

Funny thing is like, all you people that are mad are like, "I'm mad because black people would be mad!"

And @chieflocc is right, people just like looking for excuses to be mad. Look how much hate Tech already gets every time he releases a new album. It's either people claiming that he changed too much to become mainstream or that he hasn't changed enough and is just a broken record. Maybe people should just shut da fuck up.

Let's focus on the positives, I like Tech's music. I am going to a Tech N9ne show on June 10th. I am pleased.

And that's the positive, my happiness. You all can dance around in the sunshiny glow of my joy.

But I'm mad that Tech said what he was thinking and not thinking the way I think! He should be ashamed of himself for not having the intuition to look into my mind and agree with me. He may not even know me, but he still should not do anything that I don't first approve of. Jeeze, what's he thinking!?!

I already said I see what Tech is saying and have no problem with it...

But when you go to his next show and you're looking up at him having a good time... just think about the notion that he wishes you were black lookin' back at him...

Tech knows why "his people" don't fucking listen to his music. Because he's not hip-hop. Real hip-hop heads don't fuck with him because he's into the horror shit. "His people" think he's a devil worshipper. That shit aint no joke feel free to go to any big named hip-hop site and look for his music. Even if you do manage to find one of his songs or videos it's a bunch of niggas hating on him for being a devil worshiper and rapping about horror shit. They think he's a clown, and that's all his fault. You can't have a 20+ year career of being a clown and then try to force out some bullshit mainstream music in hopes of getting attention.

You'd think it'd be a badge for the fact that a black man has a bunch of white kids at their beck-n-call but I can see how not having the support of "your people" might be a sticking point...

Hell, OPRAH talks all kinda a' shit about blackness but only seems to employ fat white middle aged white women...

Fame is where you find it.

To the Caucasians on this thread:

How would you feel if you were a super successful independent rapper for 20+ years, yet the majority of fans that attended your shows were like 90% African American?

Would you wonder where the fuck the white people at? Or would you be like "hell yeah I'm accepted!!".

Just wondering, cus I don't know how id feel, other than greatful to have reached someone at all through my music.

I think it would be odd to see 90% African Americans at a show only because of my definition. Most people referred to as African Americans are really just Americans. I doubt very many people have dual citizenship with a country in Africa.

If the thought came into my mind that the crowd was of a different "race", it would be a red flag for me showing that my view of humanity has degraded into pigeonholing  people based on their skin color. I would probably step back and check myself. I strive for color-blindness. It is possible. When my daughter was around 7 we went to a public park and she was making some new friends. She came up to me and said she wanted to come back to the park again to hang out with someone. When I asked who, she said the girl in the red shirt. The girl she was referring to was the only non-Caucasian. She didn't say the black girl, she said the person in the red shirt. That showed me that our children are growing up without noticing skin color as a distinguishing characteristic. It prompted me to start seeing people more like she does.

^ awesome story dude. Like the end of "A Time to Kill"... "I thought our children could play together", Matthew Mconaghey to Sam Jackson.

It seems like some force is trying to keep races separate in my family. My brother's best friend, who happened to be black, drowned after jumping off a waterfall and having an asthma attack midair, then my bro got hit by a car and died... then my other brother's best friend, who also happened to be black, shot his face off playing Russian Roulette and drinking gin, then my other bro died in his sleep last year... so maybe I should keep my black friends at a distance lol.... any black homies wanna be my best bud??

I think color blindness like that is just as ignorant as racism.

Like, now you are going to ignore the fact that somebody is black.

(not for your daughter but for you to do because you know damn well that if you choose to do that you are just trying to avoid saying "the black one")

It's okay to distinguish people based on hair color, eye color, body size, beards, clothing, every thing but skin color?

That's dumb. If there is a crowd full of white people and only one black dude I will not refer to the black dude as the dude with the red shirt. I will not refer to him as that uncle tom nigger boo either. I will refer to him as the black man. It's not demeaning in any way it's just pointing out the most obvious thing about him that separates him from the rest so people know who I'm talking about.

Either way, I'll be too busy jamming out to the music to even care that he wishes there were a few more black people around me. I mean, it's not that he wishes I was black it's that he wishes I was surrounded with more black people.

BTW a HUGE difference between white culture and black culture. Black culture tends to insult each other by calling each other white. White culture tends to go "hell yeah, he just called me a nigga!".

I think a better thing is what if you were a white rapper and your whole crowd was full of Mexicans? Non English speaking Mexicans. Would that bother you?
