Just got dine listening to this, and it actually kept my attention till the end! Its been awhile since something from strange music has done that.
Some songs are not my cup of tea, but some are really good. Bad juju goes hard and snow the products verse on “how im feeling” is prolly the best thing i ever heard a chick rap. The majority of the album sounds like what you would hear on the radio nowadays(mumble rap), but for some reason its like they are biting tech’s style…you know the saying ” i aint goin mainstream, mainstream goin me”.
The last two songs are powerful!!! His songs like these two always make me feel invincible, just like “believe” off Something Else.
Sho nuff, drink up, and brightfall are also some songs that im feelin, first listen through…brightfall is like “demons” and “shroud” put together, definitely a must peep!
After my first listen through, ill give it a 6/9 stars…everything after “special effects” has been garbage to me, and if you combined all my scores together for those last few albums, they still wouldnt hit what i give this album.

I was disappointed. KOD was the last Tech album that I dug. And then I stopped listening after Something Else because I felt at that point he has chosen a direction that I’m just not feeling at all. But this album intrigued me because of Don’t Nobody Want None. That song is fucking awesome. Kinda wish he did a whole album (or at least a mixtape) with that gimmick. Drink Up wasn’t bad either so I thought maybe this album would be more in tune with my taste again.
Hated the first song. 2nd and 3rd where alright so I had hope again. Bad Juju was OK. Comfortable is pretty cool. So far so good! Absolutely hated No Reason, though. And from then on, it was basically the same Tech that I heard on All 6’s and Something Else. Can’t stand features like Nave Monjo, way to pop-y/RnB-y for me. My Fault would actually be a good song if it weren’t for this dude. If they’d literally just omitted the hook, just let the instrumental play instead, I’d dig it.
Now that I’ve typed this I realize that there were actually more songs that I liked on this than I remembered. I guess it’s because they were all during the first half of the album and then the second half left a really bad impression on me. The pre-order titletrack wasn’t bad though. But tbh, even the songs I liked where more like “I don’t mind the song being on” instead of “fuck yeah, this is dope”. Except for Don’t Nobody Want None. That one is pure awesomeness.

I just don’t understand how almost 20 yrs ago Tech made a track with this much heart and depth and now we’re getting the content we’re getting:

y’all keep talking about this Snow the Product verse but I’ve played through the entire album 2-3 times now and still haven’t noticed it lmao bout to peep that track now
ironic that she went so hard considering Tech was just doing a video where he’s asked to rate rappers bars without knowing whose bars they are…when he read Snow the Product’s verse (again not knowing it was hers) he said it was wack basically and gave it a low ass score lol

the best part is that it was a snow verse from So Dope. He didn’t recognize someone elses verse from HIS OWN FUCKING SONG.

I didn’t expect to dig it as much as I did. I’m like T.O. in that I stopped blind buying Tech after Something Else, but this is the first album I actually rocked to that wasn’t a collab album.
There seems to be a greater focus on raw skill, and lots of humor in the punchlines that I liked.
I’m being vague, but there’s not much to say about Tech that hasn’t already been said.
