I dunno, perhaps if one approaches an established musician with the right amount of respect, honesty and constructive criticism, it could help to keep the musician grounded. Maybe even give them a spark to work harder or reevaluate themselves. If someone yells "you suck foreskins daily and your music portrays this in a pristine manner!"
In a crowded place for attention or just to hurt the musician, then you are the aforementioned foreskin-snacker. Constructive criticism has the power to sting, but from that sting can come positivity. Its more honest than hounddogging and internet-bitching, dats fo sho.
