I’m one of the people who didn’t want mushrooms on the shirt. 

When everyone was first talking about this year’s shirt, I asked several people if we could design one that didn’t have shrooms on it, because I figured all the official gathering shirts would and I wanted a 2018 shirt.  For the record, this was back when I assumed the flh thing would more or less be the same people as it has been past years.  People who I’ve gathered with, continued to meet up with and hang out with, have traveled with…people who I consider to be my homies.  I don’t think they would have minded making a small design change so that everyone could wear the shirt. Obviously the flh stuff this year has since morphed to include a ton of new people, and also the shirt design has changed so many times I pretty much gave up on getting a shirt this year. 

As to the reasons I personally didn’t want a shirt with shrooms on it, is that it just doesn’t represent me.  I don’t use drugs and don’t want anyone to even wonder if I do.  (I have no issues whatsoever with other people doing whatever they want, and think that all that stuff should be decriminalized, etc.)  Also because it’s like, I wouldn’t want to wear a bud light shirt, because I don’t drink beer, just a personal preference thing.  A lot of people have asked about what types of careers could cause juggalos to be hesitant to be associated with illegal things… I can think of many.  Various types of government jobs (not just police or something like that, but social workers, teachers, all sorts of things).  Also, jobs that people spend like a decade in school for and wouldn’t want to do anything to risk (like doctors, lawyers, scientists).  Honestly I think that even just wearing a hatchetman is a bit of a risk.  I mean, didn’t a woman get fired from her job just for “liking” ICP on facebook?  Maybe I’m paranoid, but that’s terrifying.  So for a lot of those juggalos, if they’re already wearing a hatchetman, it’s like why needlessly add a pot leaf or “kill babies 666” or anything else to it, particularly when it’s not even something they’re into?  I realize that a majority of juggalos can wear whatever they want and not think twice about it, but there are some juggalos who have other things to consider.

You are not forced to wear the shirt when its not appropriate…it can be reserved for “special times”…like the gotj or concerts etc….js

Used to be that way, until social media/smart phones became such a thing years ago. I’m constantly asking people not to take my photo or post pics of me, like already just in general :'(

Lucem, cheshyr, @djscrubb you fellas want in on shirts? Im taking tally. Just need a yes and a size. Lucem, i havent heard whether your even gathering or not but ive offered for others to mail them. Well try it out this year and see how it goes. 

@jc, it is what it is and i apologize for this. I believe it was scruffy that was not completely cool with last years design but still got one, just cause. Would you like to be added to the tally? Maybe message me, ill add you to the tally and you can still be upset to the masses.

We lost a lot of support from the first go round 4 months ago. Thread thrived, then died, someone posted new then it was “oooh shiny” again. We need more artists, or an artist to stick with us. Right now i believe it is what it is and its on the only artist we have left to piss off at the moment. Not blaming JC at all, i didnt remember that she said about the no mushrooms, i wish i did. Weve had lack of support, ideas that suited everyone, and someone to keep doodling as needed… To have a shirt this year someone is going to need to settle. Unless we can get ScottieD to bother his artist for us. Im behind whatever, ill keep tallying and get a number. 

Theres no reason i should feel bad about this like i do. I want a shirt and i still have the new guy smell. This should have been done without me and im the one to settle. Ive just been trying ways to keep everyone motivated.
