you should go.  the gathering needs more people who have self control, and dont think its a free for all.

From what I’ve gathered, for every one awful story there are a million fantastic ones. Dont be dissuaded, I read this whole thread front to back and im still goin to my first this year. Like scruffy said, we need more good people to outnumber the bad.

I think just all us old fuckers should gather n for the money we throw down every year lets build our own stages n grounds n hire psychopathic n undergrounders to perform…    no idiots allowed! 

the last night there in 2011 and someone stole all the stuff out of our tent, the ppl i came with (my roommates at that) blamed the lette i took back to the tent the night before, when i told them she was with me the whole night they then said it was cause i didn’t zip the tent lol like that’d matter. so they tell me i need to find another ride home. ended up in some butthole little town in ohio after getting a ride from a guy i was lucky enough to met the night before, stayed with these ppl they were giving a ride. so all said i lost my place to live and every belonging i had and ended up staying at my parents house for 3 months when i got back to my hometown, but all in all i would deff do it all over again :)

Oklahoma City Gathering I was told to put out my joints multiple times. And there was this sexy lett that was swimming as a mermaid they told her to put on pasties. It was incredibly Dusty!

Had to wait in line for like 30min at the nitrous balloon tent in 2021. Like, just setup another tent motherfuckers, ninjas got places to be.

the greatest joy I get from re-reading this thread is that S-word believed it was somewhat possible that Randy Gall was forced to suck dicks at the gathering.
