where i wanted to live last year, was an even better spot.  but when me and brendan got to it [about eighty seconds after gates], there was a large temporary fence sealin it off, for a certain bands little village.  which is lame enough by itself, but they also cut themselves off a front yard that you coulda landed a helicopter in.  dicks. 

 

three or more runners with strong backs, three or more drivers with cell phones.  all we really need to do this. 

 

once staked out, its mostly a matter of settin up so we aint all trippin over each other all day. 

and fun shit.  banners or flags would be cool, shit like that. 

This sums it up nicely.  We will set up space for anyone who makes contact with me or Scruff before hand if its humanly possible.  There might be something better then where we were last year and if there is ill snag that.  If not I know where something decent is that we can get space for about a dozen ninjas max.  Im not going to join any kind of group or app or whatever there is really no reason to over complicate it.  I understand the first timers stressing but anyone whose been before should really relax as its not that serious.

The dumpsters have sucked since the prom night dumpster babies started watching Glee.

The website was down for me also during most of the day 0. There seems to be a lot of ideas flowing here and its starting to get a little all over the place so lets see if we can just break it down as simple as possible. 

What is the main objective? To set up a FLH village with anyone from the forum who wants to camp together.

When will this village be assembled? As soon as the gates open. Its the only way to really guarantee we will have everyone who wants to be in the village there.

Who is going to be needed to get in and set up this village? According to you guys at least 3 or 4 people on foot to put the tents, tarps, canopies etc and claim the area and thwart off any potential random ninjas setting up while the rest of the group is getting their cars to the site.

How are we going to assemble this group prior to the gates opening? Thats where we are all over the place. It seems like calling or texting is the simplest, direct, and most effective way to get a hold of each other. There are other options also that have more anonymity too and that can be continued to be discussed if need be. I think @scruffy hit the nail on the head though. Once your there get to the gates or ticket booth. You could always put a sign up with "FLH" or "Faygoluvers" or write your username on a plate if you have to. The point is if you wanna be found you will be. We all have to get out wristbands. We all have to enter through the same gate. And we all have to wait in a line prior to doing that. If you see a line of people thats where you wanna start looking. Once the wristbands are on and the gates open is where the rubber meets the road and the plan gets put into an action. The sooner people can meet up the better. 

With saying that, we are still 2 months away from the gathering. The key players of all of his actually happening are going to be the ones who get there earlier on day 0 to at least establish the collective group/homebase. Who is that going to be? Who knows. I plan to be there Tuesday afternoon but a lot can change in 2 months. I think the few days leading up to it will be the best time to say confirm approximate arrival times. You can always post on here right before your about to leave and then take it from there.

You can still start your super special facebook group and app and set up streamers and spazz out all you want mang. No one is saying that you and whomever cant overstress all you want all the way to day one. That worked great for you last year right? .My plan is robust and requires no extra bells and whistles.  Thats the way to success at the gathering. Offline Offline Offline except for phones lol.

Im in the same situation wit phone. My girl said she can sign up 4 an obama phone, so it might be possible to have one when the gathering comes to town.
