For grilling – at least one person needs to bring sturdy tongs or flipping utensils of some kind. The mind boggles at how people forget these items EVERY YEAR and end up trying to cook burgers with plastic forks. If you’re handling meat, please also consider bringing disposable gloves so there is no cross contamination, and minimal bacteria going everywhere because you know that there are no sinks anywhere at Gathering at food poisoning is not the business. Aluminum foil…salt and pepper…any other seasonings you want…plates…buns…lil packets of condiments…just throwing out ideas of stuff you may want to bring.

@cheshyr I have had a few dreams about this years gathering. Can’t remember much except that I got there too late to set up a good spot and then it was over. I know how you feel about last year. But we got this. No matter what happens, if we are able to get there on day 0 and meet up, we are all in the same boat no matter what circumstances occur. 

@bayareashaman I remember where the arcade is and I didn’t think that was a good area either. Regardless though if thats the spot we got, we’ll make it work. I did think though @ocj_brendan and @scruffy wanted to try and get the spot from last year and were cool with us setting up the village there? dunno if that has changed or if it seems like we might potentially have too many people. If thats still the plan I’m sure that they don’t wanna post the location in here. More will be reveled closer to day 0

Just bought our tickets today we will be there for sure. The day is up in the air still we are either leaving on the 18th or 19th at the very latest we’ll be there on the 20th at 2am. So I’d be down to be part of this village if there is still room when we get in.

This is where I camped last year and it was actually really good for me, other than going up and down the hill. Security is posted at the gate at all times, right near the seminar tent at the front gate, plus psychopathic had a booth up during the day selling found (they’ll probably have the audio book, asylum, the new artist, and / or the game this year). No one fucked with my shit at all, even when other people down the hill were getting jacked.

HOWEVER further in away from the walkway, a homie I had met had about $300 in cash lifted out of his tent, and one of the port-a-potties never got cleaned cuz the tents were in the way.

Money belts can be purchased from Walmart for less than $10, and are IMO the best way to keep your money and ID secure. You wear it under your clothes, and you seriously forget it’s there after the first couple of minutes. No one knows it’s there, so it’s pretty darn difficult to rob you. They also make the kind you wear on your leg, but they need to be ordered online. Leaving cash or ID in a tent is just a big ole NOPE.
