I see so many golf carts now.  I get psycho staff and people like Scotty, SCU, etc.  But I see people I know to have no affiliations.  How is it allowed?  Is there a way to request?  I am disabled and a golf cart would have been amazing for me.

I know one dude got a cart with a doctors note. I think you would have to email jumpsteady and figure it all out. I THINK there's a fee for it but don't quote on me that.

I doubt they will sign you up this early before the next gathering, but you can see what information you will need for next year. Good luck, ninja!

Theres plenty that dont have a drs note, i guarantee that. Maybe the key is to smuggle them in, unnoticed. But there should def some kind of regulations on them. Seems the number grows yearly. Oklahoma had an over abundance. There should be check points or some shit. Seen a dude on a cart slam into a canopy, yelled "fuck you" and drove off. That could have been someones tent that got run over. Theres a spot in the handbook each year that says no carts, i think they should def do something about them. If needed then its slightly different, no drinking or drugs while operating or you lose your bracelet and get escorted out.

Like I said, it was just how I know one guy got his. Not sure about everybody else. You're right though, some people were wreckless as FUCK on those carts. I get that they're fun to drive or whatever, but there's thousands of people around you. Act like it.

I watched a golf cart fuck up a car by the merch tent on Sunday as I was leaving. The dude whose car it was demanded insurance and was insisting on calling the cops when I walked away.  I was amazed that the cart stopped.

Oklahoma was actually the first time we had a cart. Thank goodness we did, because that place was so gigantic that I wouldn't have been able to get from point a to point b in time to cover everything we did.

This year, we got the official approval due to me putting in actual GOTJ work.  They didn't provide one for me though, which may be one of my stipulations for next year.  We'll see.

I do know that they approve carts for ninjas like Less Legs with disabilities.  I won't go into specifics on the driving while inebriated comment, but I will say that something needs to be done about it.  I definitely saw some ninjas nearly get ran over by drivers who were far from sober.

This post got away from me, but long story short, you definitely need a doctor's note, or some form of proof of disability.  They are extremely strict about who gets a pass and who doesn't, and unfortunately I have no control over that.  I'm hoping that by some time next year, either myself or someone else has access to the customer service email so that things like this can be addressed.  Baby steps.

Oklahoma was huge and i understand you putting in work. Not denying that some folks NEED them or deserve them. Just hoping for them being more strict on those not needed.

Im totally digging the rat rod you had this year. That thing is bad ass! Looked very pieced together, heh.

The carts on the inside were either authorized or smuggled in in box trucks.

There were several carts in the parking lot that weren't authorized, their drivers were complaining about not being allowed in with them.

I'm kinda amazed that there isn't a "Festival Taxi" service, I've seen them at a few fests and they are sweet.

I'm surprised no one got a broken leg or anything.  Some of those drivers were cutting it close and weaving in and out of streams of people on the paths.  I tried to walk on edges as much as possible to stay out of the way.  I'm also surprised the real cops didn't issue any DUI charges inside the venue.  Some of the people were definitely driving impaired, and that's just as illegal and dangerous as it would be if it was a car.

We almost got into a fight with people driving their carts at night without their light on. People out there being wreckless!

It'd make em think twice about it.  Those things are nasty to have on your personal file.
