Yea, that was only a matter of time for when this was getting announced.  Ohio (I live there) is one of the super strict states on this thing, and current rule is that you have to quarantine for 2 weeks if you enter from another state before you’re allowed to go out.  That would apply to 95% of the artists and people attending.

Then there’s also that a lot of people are being laid off or straight up losing their jobs over this and wouldn’t have the time or money available to attend.  I know some people got bonuses to compensate for this, but most people did not.

Then there’s the way this spreads.  Common procedure is to not closely interact with people, and wash your hands.  Well GOTJ is go stand in a pile of sweaty people for hours every day, and hygiene is regarded as completely optional by a large amount of people.  So if a few people there get it, then a lot more would.

The one thing it had going for it to not get cancelled is that heat kills it faster than normal air.  It’s usually plenty hot.

Maybe we can have a gathering online, if enough people add some artists names and comment on their social media enough. Why the fuck not? It won’t replace the real gathering but it would be cool as fuck. And we could do it as a fundraiser for people in need because of Covid 19.

These butthurts probably just hate Tx cuz it has a reputation for executing retards, so they know to keep their distance. Backwater Tx is like backwater anywhere (Deliverance family stump hell) but as far as inner cities go, Houston is the most tolerant, chill, multicultural clusterfuck I’ve ever experienced. Plus we have flocks of real flamingos that take the edge off the tweakers playing in traffic. Win/Win!
