I have never seen or heard of a decent metal band ever playing GOTJ, with the exception of GWAR in ’09. The metal they book is absolute garbage. I don’t think most gatherers would enjoy my choices, however so it is what it is.

I’m just fucking around, but seriously isn’t this festival supposed to be for underground, heavy shit. 
Like, that’s what a lot of this rap is. Compared to regular pop-rap-bullshit, the rap we listen to is heavy and brutal as fuck. Lyrics about murder and all that.
Then at the same time, they get these metal bands that are fucking pussy shit, watered down, sub par trash. Music thats pretty much aimed at teenage girls.

They said that Mushroomhead is going to be there.  That should be good as long as they stick to their old stuff.  They got J-Mann back into it, and he’s the one that does the rapping. But I haven’t liked anything they’ve released since XIII.  It’s like they got into a contest to try to out-soft Slipknot’s music after that album.  Kinda pissed me off because they were dope.

Yea, I’d recommend Sun Doesn’t Rise or Solitaire Unraveling if you want to hear what they sound like when they are at their best.  Sadly, they don’t sound like that anymore.  It’s a pretty complex sound because they had 2 vocalists, 2 guitars, a bassist, a drummer, a keyboardist, and a DJ.  And they have a good look to them.

So I had to lookup Archgoat……what a hell ride that fuckin band is!  holy shit!!!  I feel like those dudes would rip your soul straight from your butthole, then drink all your blood, all while ruthlessly headbangin shredding on their guitar.
