The other day i watched the GOTJ dvd from the shangri la album and the number 17 flashes across the screen several times subliminally. I forgot about that shit but i do remember pondering on y they did that back then. Now wit J hyping the 17th annual i wonder if they were tryin to tell us sumtin bout the 17 gathering.

you really think they had anything planned that far in advance? 17 has always been a thing that’s been around and it don’t have any special meaning with regards to things to come, it’s just a trademark of theirs to make people wonder what they’re talking about. The 17th will likely be pretty dope because they’re going to try and have some shit go down but I guarantee you everything that happens was planned in the past year or two.

I was talking to jumpsteady before the last one about the art show and they did the show the way they did because he wants there to be an actual gallery show of work at the 17th and he’s worried about shit getting stolen like in the past. 

I think they’re gonna go above and beyond with this one but I don’t think it’s going to be the last one, or whatever else they could possibly be alluding too.

I remember when shangri la was coming out and they said something big was gonna happen at the gathering people thought they were gonna kill themselves or some stupid shit. 

I know whut 17 is all about, i just thought it was a possibility that back then they were thinkin that if the gotj last to 17 that it needs to be special, thats all. If its been in their heads since then i would predict they are gonna give us “the greatest show” on earth.

one of those not-as-common-as-you-might-think juggalo history moments when icp actually under-hyped the significance of it.  today, that particular seminar is kinda looked at as THE icp seminar.  the official kickoff of the diamond rain yada yada yada.

Funny you mention those kinda “feels” (as the kids say) cuz the more I get to thinkin’ about the Wizard of the Hood show currently scheduled to be over at the Carousel Stage at Legend Valley, the more I think it is gonna be a HUGE cluster fuck (on OUR end, that is. For we, the viewing audience).

EVEN *IF* you aren’t the biggest fan of the album (for which *I am); EVEN *IF* the fact that it seems to be a big part of the theme for this year isn’t catching you anyhow…; EVERY muthafuckin’ Juggalo is gonna wanna be at that shit JUST BECAUSE it is a NEVER BEFORE SEEN show with costumes and visuals n’shit that will (more than likely) NEVER be repeated again… Everyone will want to be there JUST to see the spectacle of it all… [dot] [dot] [dot]… at the CAROUSEL STAGE.

Case in point: Stitches last year. EVEN IF people didn’t like or could give a shit less, they showed the fuck UP! The whole area was PACKED! EVEN IF they were just passing through to see the shit… you had to go AROUND just to avoid the crowded area to get somewhere else. AND THAT WAS FOR SOME FUCKIN’ *STITCHES*!!!

We’re talking about a one time EVENT with the CORE of the Psychopathic crew doing a stage show for a fun one-off Violent J did YEARS ago that they are touting as having ACTUAL production value behind it like it was a PLAY… and it’s gonna be at Carousel?!?! On a shitty slope where the people in the back can’t see shit even if it may be farther away?!

I’m guessing that either they end up switching the venue around OR the area surrounding Carousel is gonna have a LOT more bullshit to have to contend with in regards to people’s camping options… I’m just seeing this show as being a “clutch” kinda thing when it comes to everyone’s Gathering planning (long before the Timeline comes out for it).

I have camped around the carousel stage the past couple years in an undisclosed spot that I love. However I can agree with this some extent. The people that parked their RVS to the side of the pit area were just stupid as shit.. During Rydas i definitely saw juggalos packed around them and saw them swaying back and forth. Even saw a fat bitch come out of one to try to get people to stop leaning against it but.. Her against 40 tired drunk juggalos leaning on her RV was not going to work. All will be fine if they define a larger pit area and say NO RVS within.. Lets say 100 yards of the stage. 

They’re probably expecting it’ll get the same size draw as Rydas which I’m thinking is under valuing it. I never stayed up for rydas cuz I could give a fuck about em. The fact that they put dark lotus there too has me wondering if they’re planning something. I know people complained about the audio in the lotus set (I thought it sounded good as fuck?) so maybe they’re thinking the small area will be better because it’ll force people to come in closer? I know when I went back to find some homies i had been talking to earlier in the night and zug izland was on, the crowd was fucking so dense you couldn’t get anywhere so I went back to my tent and then to the fucking family feud shit. So I am definitely suggesting we all gotta get hyped as fuck for who ever is opening those nights.

Don’t let RVs and maybe cut some trees down, say no camping in a couple hundred feet infront the stage it’ll be fine. Lotus sound last year was one of the only times they didn’t fuck up someones mic. I think them doing those shows on the Carousel is so they can have more not necessarily juggalo acts on mainstage (NWA).

I think their mics not fucking up caused Lotus to panic and start fuckin up their own set lol. I’ve seen them maybe three or four times and that one was definitely the worst.

I get this is suppose to be insulting Tidwell in some way or some shit but for real, dude seems like he’d give a good hug. 

Because income tax is awesome, I was just about to get my Gathering tickets and noticed the “discount” option. Any one have any info on that? I’m guessing that they either give out codes to people workin it or friends/family and the like or they used a checkout template that has a discount slot automatically and there really isn’t any codes. 

Either way, some info would be the shit if anyone has any. And you know, if codes do exist for em, you have some and wanna share…that’d be swell too.

Ya dude my 1st. Heres my story been down since milenko era. My mom bought the cd in 97 and i thought it was hidden from me for xmas. Months after xmas i stumbled upon the unopen cd again in my moms room and had to ask about it since it wasnt an xmas present. She said it looked cool and thats y she bought it, so i asked if i could open it and listen to it and she said sure. I looked at the booklet and popped it in. Sooo insane clown posse huh lets see if they are whut they claim and boom i was hooked after 1st listen. I grew up poor so i never could go to a show or get anyshirts or posters and didnt meet anyone who knew of or listened to icp till summer b4 high skool circa 2002. My 1st clown show was bang pow boom and been goin to every show in cleveland since. I might lose my job 4 goin this year but im not missing it for anything. My girl aint even comin and although i wish she would im still going. 

Side note becuz of no Internet and no homies from the scene i thought bizzar and dark lotus were the sixth jokers card when i bought them. It was ruff for me and thats prolly y i speculate so much. The family means alot to me but i will say this i have no luv for any who does herion/crack or meth. Dont get it twiztid tho i am not a square im a stoner 4 life and i luv my psychedellics ie. Mushrooms and lsd.

You might cry anyway, fam. Saturday night, right before icp goes on, emotions start coming up cuz you been there for a while and you been suppressing them and bam they hit you and then icp comes on and they help you feel good again. I cried to fucking lets go all the way and I don’t even really like that song lol.

So I’m thinking of attending the 17th! Me and my soon to be wifey. Shes not really a partyer but she’s into the concerts and camping. I only get blazed anymore. Do you think we would still have fun? I’ve always wanted to go and now I have a chance so… Feedback? 

So i’m planning on flying in from the UK, as long as i’m not deployed. I think the closest airport is Ohio, very early lose planning are there busses etc out that way? And i’m assuming i can find teenage etc in the US thats cheap and will last a 5 day period?

Any help would be lovely!
