I went to one of the Happy Daze shows and Coolio was depressing to see. Dude looks like crack has done a number on him. Also, his backdrop said “Ganga’s Paradise” instead of “Coolio”, like, that song is pretty much who he is.

That was the first and only show where I’ve seen Juggalos do a circle pit. Kittie knows how to move mother fuckers. Wouldn’t mind seeing them at the Gathering this year.

Ive never been able to make it to ANY of the gatherings.  The first one that they had way back in the day, I think it was over in Pontiac, MI somewhere and free, me and my ex-brother in law were going to go but the plans fell through.  Now many gatherings later, 2017 may be the one I can finally go to.  I think it would be awesome to finally be able to experience a gathering and at my old age, 39, not sure how many years I do have left due to all the abuse I put my body through going through Opioid addiction/dependence due to chronic back pain and other issues.

Here is the hard part though.  I am married, second marriage, but if I do go, I gotta go at it alone…..ugh.  Wife told me no way in hell would she go with me to this.  I said, why not?  She doesnt like the music at all but has no problem with me going to the gathering alone, but yeah.  Would love to go but it does suck that she would not want to go, but such is life.  Are there any other guys out there like me?  Married or have a significant other and they wont go to the gathering with you?

Has anyone else been in this same situation as me?  I would love to go to the gathering and would be dope to be able to experience it with the wife, but if she doesnt go with me, I may just be going at this alone.  Should still be fun, I think so

Go ahead and read  thru this threads pages and u will c ur not da only one. I myself will b attending my 1st this year and my better half wont come cuz its too much 4 her to handle. The only way she said she’d go is if i had a camper wit ac and all that jazz, shes spoiled. She luvs the music but she can barely handle a concert let alone 3 days worth. And fyi ur exactly a decade older than me im 29. Its definitely a must not miss year since its the 17th, plus wizard of the hood and all sorts of goodies getting released too. It will b fun, yes it sux our girls cant experience this amazing event, but it will be a good life experience. 

This story is equivalent to my recent lsd trips, she will not partake and i feel like shes missing out all the time, but still its an experience i want to have and im just glad to have sum1 in my life who will let me live my life.

Hey, I just wanted to add my 2 cents…

I think that you will definitely have a great time at the gathering, and going alone won’t change that.  Most of the gathering is chilling with random Juggalos anyways (while seeing some awesome shit).  I usually go with just one other person, and one year in particular I saw the homie that I went with like 5 minutes a day and spent the rest of the time meeting new ppl, so going alone wouldn’t have even made a difference.  It sucks that your girls not down with the Gathering though.  But yea, there’s always ppl there who went alone and they seem to be having a good time.  And it seems like a lot of dudes have wives who aren’t into the whole camping thing.  I always say that once you go to a Gathering, you’ll go back every year! I’d go alone if I had to, wouldn’t even think twice about it.

I am married and my wife would never go camping let alone go to the gathering. She is not a fan of the music at all. I’m going alone if I go this year myself. Unlike you I had to convince my wife I would be fine by myself. She is worried that if something was to happen to me she would have no clue of knowing. If I had a friend with me she at least would feel safer. She is a worry wart but I get it. She loves me and doesn’t want anything to happen. I have been there 2 times now and I have always been an independent person who loves to do things on my own. I actually wanted to go alone last year and wish I did because it would of saved me some money and probably still have a good friend in my life instead of one who is ducking me because he still owes me money for his ticket. I spent most of the time last year doing my own thing and had more fun. I’m sure you know people out here who you could meet up with or even some random ninjas. If not just go and do what makes you happy.

course, that guy watched one or two of those gathering documentaries, and came away from it thinkin that gotj was a legit convention for legit serial killers, or some shit. 

I spent most of the time last year doing my own thing and had more fun.

good idea about setting up a contact on here. thanks. and yah I need to meet up this year. I got all off track last year. lesson learned…no matter how much you plan shit there are always things your powerless over and you need to adapt. and nothing starts on time 

Man i starting to stress bout sumtin. Im not sure if my homie is gonna be able to come thru and go wit me. That means i would have hitch a ride wit sum1. What stresses me about that is if i put my shit in their car and they leave witout me and take all my shit or if it mysteriously disappears from their car. Another thing i feel could happen is that they claim that its their shit and bully it from me. I hope i dont have any of these issues.
