I’m hoping madchild is there. I also wouldn’t mind seeing necro live once.
I heard a lot of people were dissapointed with Madchild’s set last time he played.

I would think Madchild is one of the handful of artists who you can expect will play every year. In fact IIRC one time on PSY radio Jumpsteady used Madchild as an example of an artist who will always be invited to play, when he was explaining why some artists who had played in the past weren’t invited to gotj16.

Madchild has turned super, super corny….to the point where I skip his shows when he comes to Toronto now.
He comes here four or five times a year to perform a solo set to crowds of around 200 people.
On this tour he didn’t even bring a merch dude, instead he took to Twitter and asked if any single young women would like to sell merch for him in their town when he comes.
I will only go to see that dude now if he reforms Swollen Members, and tours with them.

I would love king gordy to come back.. I’ve only ever got to see his 10 minutes from 2011… and I believe Brotha Lynch should always be invited to GOTJ he’s the real godfather of horrorcore.

I don’t think it’s unreasonable for Die Antwoord to play. They had a little fifteen minute fame break and that’s kinda over now. No reason Psychopathic couldn’t scoop em up for cheap now. Having seen their live show, it’s a pretty good fit for the Gathering (in my most often wrong opinion). Weird graffiti decor and bizarre costumes, songs about fucking, getting drunk and being poor, and a LOT of solid crowd work.
