Metal and just live instruments are a breath of fresh air at GOTJ. I never would’ve thought I’d enjoy a mediocre band like Dope but they were a good change from horrorcore overload. Two acts that played but I have not seen are Rehab and ¡MAYDAY!… don’t they play with live music? Vanilla Ice puts on a good show but I’ve seen him too much, like KMK… anyway, metal and rock are great ideas, just have to find bands good enough that aren’t too huge. I feel Slipknot, SOAD, Manson, bands like that, would cost too much. Fear Factory played, did anyone catch them? Soulfly too; example of great band that draws a crowd but not too huge… and yeah, Cypress Hill is perfect for GOTJ. I’m guessing Psy will notice and draw them in this year.

my boy went up to em to find out whats goin on. then he comes back with a look of disgusted bemusement.
'theyre fucking. when i got there, all i could smell was asshole.'

That sucks I heard FF don’t translate well live. My buddy is a wheelchair-bound metal singer and he played with Soulfly like the week before the GOTJ at some pub, so I don’t think they cost much.. saw Static X couple years ago I don’t like how dude just kept yelling “you guys ready to do some more shots!?!” To the crowd. It was like all he could think of to get crowd going. Fuck we were there for BLS anyway.

I would love more metal at the gathering.
System of a down would be timeless
Rob zombie
Slipknot
Mushroom head again
Mudvayne
Hate breed- even tho they’re racist, still got lots good songs
Shadows fall
LAMB OF GOD
Korn- tho we know that won’t ever happen
Any 2 or 3 of them would be sufficient
From tadpoles to frogs to Jesus to legends.
