In America, the word festival and the word campground are two different things.  

and in Canada they mean something different??

rock fest in Quebec you buy a ticket for $250 and you bring a tent and you pop that tent anywhere you want for the 3 day festival 

the difference is rock fest draws 200,000 people and the gathering lately draws 10,000 max

Looks like a really nice place

I was there the first two years. All I remember is that we were booked for the Dark Forest section. I cannot for the life of me remember if we had to buy or rent the site. I do recall that ours was one of the farthest away and it was cool. I went with my wife and three others, two of whom I never speak with anymore and one who j dont frequently chat with either. I do, however, have to GOTJ manual from that year in my garage. I could leaf through it if possible tomorrow.

So I do recall the final year, some awesome Canadian dudes letting us pitch a tent at their site in exchange for nothing more than some sips off of my deerskin full of liquor. So I dunno.. first year was reserved I think and second year we just bargained with nice folks and got hooked up. 

I will say this: the jump off of the cliff is dope. There is an actual little beach as well. An island in the middle. I’ve got stories to share about the place and man I would like to go this year. So unexpected that they are going back to Garrestville.

And it was filled with either Yukon Gold or Yukon Jack, I cant recall. The Canadians liked it.
