Thinking about how life swings back around, I’m feeling like having the GOTJ back at Garrestville is very weird. And pretty damned cool. 

May go through some old photos later. Like, actual printed photographs in an album lol. We didnt do the cell phone thing much back then.

I’m pretty on the fence about going. 

Maybe one of the crew will hit me up and ask, maybe I’ll see a name playing that I can’t live without seeing, maybe the mrs will press us to go this year. 

I dont have any solid plans yet of anything I need an extra week off for at the house. 

I just dont know…

Straightedge, you really should go. If you haven’t I’d highly suggest it. At least once.

As soon as you think you’ve seen it all, something else happens. It’s amazing fun to stand back and watch. Hell or join in stuff.

I’ve never been to a Gathering before, and lo and behold, this is just over an hour away from me. I got a lot of money issues I need to address, but if I can convince my buddy to go with me, this might be the year it happens. Otherwise it’ll be in Bumfuck, Egypt next time and I definitely won’t make it.  

If it is a little over an hour away, then there is no reason not to go save for hospitalization or a comet hitting the Earth.

I make excuses every time because my life has been so damned unlucky every year, but when the Denver Convention came I had to go. Denver is like 1.5 hours away. There was no good reason not to. 

Money isnt that big of a deal. I went to the first 5 GOTJ 2000-2004 when i was the scrubbiest scrubbin scrub ever. Like working $5.15 part time jobs and sometimes being homeless.

We used to have a big glass jar labeled GATHERING FUNDZ and we would drop in money here and there. Ended up being more than enough. There is no better deal for a festival than this one.

If I do go, which is becoming a possibility more and more by the day… then you will be taken care of in my site.
