Yeah I can’t wait. Supertroopers was one of those flicks that I thought from the trailers (like Half Baked and Sex Drive) would be awful, but are great.
They’re going through with Weedfest too

I remember seeing Club Dread a few months ago, thought it was alright but not their best work. Supertroopers is awesome and I hope they do a Weedfest. Beerfest was cool too.

Club Dread is their weakest besides Puddle Cruiser, but it has its moments. Slammin Salmon grows on you after repeated viewings. “How is everybody feline tonight?”

Broken Lizard Has ‘Super Troopers 2’ This Summer, Plans ‘Weedfest’
Not too long ago, there was talk from Super Troopers star and Broken Lizard comedy troupe member Kevin Heffernan that a sequel to the highway patrol comedy was in the works, with an eye towards shooting this year. Well, Baltimore Sports Talk station WNST AM 1570 (via Movies.com) got some more details as Heffernan was joined by Steve Lemme on their show. Not only did they reveal that Super Troopers 2 has a completed script, but the film will likely shoot this summer for a 2014 release. But that’s not all, for fans of Beerfest, there’s a sequel on the way that will switch out the booze for the herb. Read on!
Though the idea initially started as a joke, Heffernan and Lemme revealed Weedfest is in the works. Apparently some real interest from famous potheads like Willie Nelson and Snoop Dogg (Lion), along with some smoke-filled fans, really turned some heads at Broken Lizard. Supposedly the project is set up at an undisclosed studio, but they’re just now starting on the script. So it might be awhile before the crew gets together for some weed Olympics, but at least they’ll be putting the badges back on for more police shenanigans. But are fans still hoping for a sequel 13 years later? We’ll have to wait and see.

Yep and it was just a sight gag, but apparently enough people took it seriously that demand appeared. Now the BL guys have heard the call and are trying a script
